Forehead Reduction - a Dream Come True

Scar update

WORTH IT
I thought I would get on here and hopefully be comforted because I’m officially 4 months post op and my scar is getting lighter and lighter. It’s literally white and very hard to conceal. I’ve reached out to my surgeons office and haven’t heard back, which is very annoying. I know there’s a process to the healing of the scar but I’m pretty worried because I don’t want this stage to be permanent. I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if there’s any tips or products to help. Or is this normal and I’m just panicking for no reason? I would love to hear if anyone’s had a similar experience and it truly does get better, I haven’t seen photos with a scar as pale as mine.

oh no! i think this is just the healing and it’ll get darker hopefully. keep us updated !
Hypopigmentation is very common with scarring. Give it 6-12 months, but not all hope is lost. Definitely reach out to a cosmetic tattoo artist that specializes in scar concealment. I’m sure they will be able to blend it perfectly.
I am just a month in but my doctor said to use biocorneum twice a day and avoid sunlight
Did you doctor ever get back to you with any recommendations? I hope it's starting to get better for you!
Any updates?
I have the same thing. I'm thinking of getting a revision on getting grafts to cover the scar. It's been 11.5 months.
Have you tried prp? That’s what I’m thinking of next. If so, did you see any results?

7 Week Post Op - Scar Update

Hi everyone! I just wanted to share an update on my scar. It measures 3.5 inches in width. I’ve added a few recent photos of it. I’m not sure if this is normal, but right after a shower, my scar is almost undetectable (first and second photos). Maybe half an hour later after I’ve applied my scar gel, a white pinkish line is quite noticeable. I haven’t stopped applying my scar gel twice a day so I’m hoping the white line goes away soon. I’m also starting to grow hair through the incision which I’m very excited about!!

It looks great. Mine is next month so I’m not sure of what’s considered normal. How many cm was it lowered?
I’m so excited for you! Who is your surgeon?

My hairline was lowered by 1.5inches, which is exactly what I wanted.
you must mean centimetres? doesn’t look as much as that
No, my forehead was close to 10cm and now it’s 6cm in height
oh wow! can’t tell from the pics that it was that much. looks fab
Thank you! That’s amazing!! I would love to get 3-4 cm off as well. I decided on Dr. Gal Aharonov. I’m so excited. :D
Hi, wanted to say you look great. I'm booked to get the same surgery with Dr. Solomon soon as was wonder about the incisions on the side of the head. How is it healing and is it noticeable?
Hi! The incision on the sides of my head are not noticeable at all. My hair covers it nicely. He does shave the hair in those areas though, so be prepared to have heavily matted hair for a few days. I was shocked because I wasn’t expecting it to be so knotted, I thought I’d never get them out. I’ve also been rocking a middle part so the short hair that’s now growing back isn’t obvious on the sides. Good luck with your surgery!!
A little worried about being shaved but that's so good to hear that's its not noticeable! Thank you and happy healing
I was worried about it too but it made it so much easier to clean. He did however, shave too much toward the back of my head so I had a bald spot like a target at the back of my head. My hair has since grown but still -.-

One Week Post Op

I love the height of my new hairline but an unwanted result from my surgery are my now uneven brows. It feels and looks like one brow was accidentally lifted because I feel slight tension that I never had before and I am unhappy about them looking non symmetrical.

Your forehead looks amazing. I can tell that your right eyebrow is a bit higher than your left one but honestly only because you mentioned it. Amazing results otherwise.
Thank you love!
Eyebrows are sisters...not twins!! Prob more noticeable by you than anyone!!
Love the hairline!!
What was the cost?? Location??
Thank you! $8500 + tax, done in Toronto by dr. Philip Solomon
You might want to consider botox on the lower brow, that will lift it up a bit
Hey did you brows ever resume position? I had this surgery and my eyebrows went up by like an inch (looked like I had a brow lift which I did NOT want) and left my with a surprised look on my face - however, I’m happy to say that my brows went down back to their normal position in about 2.5 weeks!! I’m so happy but just wanted to put it out there for anyone who may have this prob
