I look like Frankenstein
I decided to wait a year for full results. If you’re black don’t risk getting this surgery. Get therapy and fix the inner issue. I got this procedure done because I was insecure about my hairline and wanted to wear my natural hair out. I got the procedure and now look? 11 months on I have a huge hypo-pigmented, hypertrophic scar that makeup and baby hairs can’t even cover. To top it off, now I can only wear wigs because I have to cover this giant scar. Anyone with any advice on what I can do now please drop me a message.
Good luck to everyone on their forehead/hairline journey

6 month update
So it’s almost been 6 months since my procedure. I last updated 2 months ago with quite bright hypo pigmentation. 2 months on and there is a positive difference. I use scar tape and kelocote gel intermittently. I had some shock loss and lost all my edges and a bald spot right at my middle part which is growing back. My scalp is still numb but sensation is slowly returning. I’m overall happy with my results! If the scar doesn’t fade to my liking I will get pmu to colour in the gap, steroid shot to flatten the scarring a bit more and more prp injections to promote hair growth. I will continue to update the scar for my dark skinned girlies so you know what to look out for.

Scarring on dark skin/Keloid scarring
It’s been 3 months since I got the procedure, scar has worsened over the last month. I’m still using scar tape and gel. The scar is pretty raised and bright pink, not too sure what I’m doing wrong. It’s also quite wide, my braids are quite loose so I know that isn’t a factor. I avoid the sun and massage the incision line to break down scar tissue. Honestly can’t wait for the healing process to be over. The middle of my head is still numb however sensation has been gradually coming back. I lost some hair at my temples and hairline which are slowly growing back. Incision line feels tender and is getting more uncomfortable as the weather gets colder. I’ll give it another 3 months then I will start considering other options for my scar. Side note: If you’re you’re black or darker skinned south Asian- be aware of keloid scarring which we are more susceptible to.

Experiencing the same! Please let me know if you find anything that helps
Yeah it's the only downside. If I do, I'll let you know
I hope the scarring breaks down for you! I've heard positive reviews on Skinceuticals Scar Gel. I'm getting some to try and will update you if I get good results!
Thanks for this! I'll see if that's something I can buy in the U.K.
Hey, how much did you pay?
Hi I paid £3700 for everything included hotels and transfers
