Here are the official before and after photos taken by Dr. Attenello at the clinic!! Much easier to see how big of a change it actually was!
Before I got this procedure, I was worried that I wouldn't look or feel like myself afterwards. But it's actually been the opposite since having the surgery. When I look in the mirror, it's so hard to remember what my forehead looked like before because it looks so natural now. And somehow I feel that I look more like myself after surgery? Lol I know that doesn't really make sense, but it's so true. I feel extremely lucky and grateful that everything went so smoothly and turned out so great. Looking and feeling MORE like yourself is the best possible outcome from plastic surgery so I am very very happy that's been the case for me :)
Even looking at these before and after photos, I can't believe my forehead was ever larger than it was now! Pretty much all the struggles and self-consciousness I had before with my sixhead (almost a sevenhead lol) have faded away. I don't stress as much about my hair and styling it in general is sooo much easier. If my hair is in my way, I feel comfortable tucking it behind my ear or pinning it back with a clip. It sounds silly but it's seriously so freeing to not have my hair and forehead constantly on my mind. This is one of the best things I have ever done for myself and it was worth every penny :)

Wow! Amazing! Yeah that’s a really big difference.
It really is! Sometimes it doesn’t feel like a big change when I look in the mirror, but these pictures certainly prove otherwise haha!
I know when I look at any feature in the mirror it magically doubles in size XD
Going to get my forehead reduction with Dr. Attenello next month. I'm feeling nervous since it'll be my first surgery EVER. Thank you so much for posting about your experience. You look great! I hope you're still doing well!
Oh yay! How exciting! Good luck with the surgery!! Dr. Attenello is amazing. And thank you, I’m still doing very well :) I think there’s even been some slight improvements since my last update and I’m still so happy I got the procedure done :)
Congratulations on a natural and great result. Did the operation change the position of your eyebrows?
Nope! I didn’t get a brow lift and didn’t noticed any change in the position of my eyebrows :)
That's good to know. Thank you for responding.
I'm so happy for you! I want this surgery so badly, but my biggest concern is headaches or tension long-term since the scalp is tighter...? Also, I wonder if the scar grows over time from tension/pulling. I'd be interested in seeing peoples results 2+ years out..
Hi there! Thank you!! I was actually pretty concerned about headaches long-term as well, especially because I’m naturally headache-prone. But my scalp no longer feels tight and I haven’t noticed an increase in headaches at all since everything has been healed.

I’m a year and 3 months post op and actually think my scar has continued to become less and less noticeable, and I’ve even seen more progress recently! I haven't noticed any scar growth from tension or pulling and I usually sleep with my long hair up in a bun. Keep in mind I tried to reduce the tension and pulling as much as possible while it was still healing to avoid this
Hi there! I'm almost 6 months out from this procedure. I haven't posted my own review yet but I was wondering if you could post or send a picture of your hairline / close up of the scar as it looks now? It's encouraging to hear you still continue to notice improvement as time goes on.

2/4/2022- ~5 Months After Surgery

My incision has continued to heal beautifully!! I had a quick check up with Dr. Attenello and she commented on how quickly and nicely I was healing! The redness of my scar has drastically decreased since my last photos and my baby hairs really started to fill in. The areas where I had some hair loss have pretty much all filled in, which I think gives me an even better hairline so I'm thrilled. I still don't have full feeling on top of my head but it's continuing to slowly come back. I still have that small dimple in the center front of the incision but it's pretty small now and only somewhat noticeable in certain lighting. The two sutures that had been poking through have since come out/dissolved and there haven't been anymore that have poked through.

The left side of the incision definitely healed a little nicer and is basically undetectable, even with my hair pulled back! My baby hairs grow out on that side too so it really helps conceal the scar. The right side of my incision is still slightly ridged and whitish/pink and a little shiny but with a small dab of concealer, it's nicely hidden. The baby hairs on my right side also grow back instead of out so I don't get as much hair coverage on that side. I do still have a little patch of redness in the left corner of the incision but the baby hairs mostly cover it and it's not really noticeable anyways.

Dr. Attenello said I'm officially in the clear for hair loss and I'm free to go in the sun without spf or a hat to cover the scar. I have still been using biocornuem ointment pretty religiously even though she said I don't really need it anymore. I'm hoping it will help smooth out the little ridge and help the pinkish white fade some more. I've still been taking biotin every day, along with a multivitamin, and using a hair serum when I remember. I like to think the biotin and hair serum helped with my hair regrowth but I honestly don't know if it made that big of an impact haha.

Other than that, I don't think there's much else to report. The photos pretty much speak for themselves! So happy every single day that I got this done :) feel free to ask me any questions!

11/25/2021- Three Months After Surgery

The holiday season was super busy for me and I forgot to take regular progress photos. But here are two photos where I was done up with makeup on the scar (first is 3 months post op, second is ~4 months post op)! The scar is fairly easy to hide now with concealer and styling my hair a little strategically :) no one in my family noticed the scar or commented on the slight change in my appearance which was great. My sister knew I had the surgery and when I saw her, she totally forgot I had it done until I reminded her haha! She said it looked so natural which is exactly what I was going for!

The redness has gone down a lot! The left side of the incision is definitely healing a little better and is less noticeable on that side. The right side has a slight ridge and the scar has turned a little white and shiny but the dimple has evened out almost completely. I can’t wait to be able to go out in the sun to help even out the color between my forehead and skin right behind the incision! I’m also starting to get more feeling back on the top of my head, even though my scalp hasn’t been super itchy like I thought it would be from nerves growing back. I still don’t pull my hair straight back very often but it’s more comfortable in a low pony anyways.

I just love my forehead more and more everyday!! :)
