I didn’t experience any more hair loss since my last update, it’s just slowly growing back, it is sparser in some areas but not noticeable at all! This procedure has changed my life, I never think about my forehead and have it out every day which is a feeling I haven’t had since I was about 6 years old.
It’s been a while so I feel like I’ve forgotten some info, feel free to ask me any questions!
Make sure to cover your scar if you’re going out in the sun, I took a headband out with me everywhere I went, you have to do this for 1 year! I also carried a little bottle of factor 50 sun cream in my bag so that if I did forget my headband or didn’t want to wear it I’d lather that on, I recommend the la Roche posay as it’s formulated for your face so will prevent any clogged pores that might cause ingrown hairs
The bald patch photo is 2 months post I rubbed Shea Moisture strengthen and restore edge treatment and Jamaican black castor oil on my bald patches to stimulate growth as much as I remembered too

Hair loss update
Today I measured my forehead, it is 5cm tall at the biggest part, I’m shocked at how it was ever 9cm!
The hair loss on my left side is already starting to grow back ! The right is not growing yet but I’m hopeful that it will.
I started taking Viviscal hair medication 6 weeks before my operation twice a day and I’m still taking it now, I bought the maximum strength supply which lasts I think 3 months, it contains biotin and iron amongst other things which I think has really helped with keeping my hair loss to a minimum and helping the hair grow back quicker.
Once the hair fully grows back from the bald patches my hairline will be more arched as it’s still a little square. I am able to style my hair to cover the bald patches anyway so I don’t mind
I also just finished the Skinceuticals (this is sent in the post 2 weeks before operation) I was applying that in the mornings and regaine in the evening which I also finished today, I bought a months supply but lasted me 8 weeks. I think applying both religiously has helped too

Did you feel numbness on your scalp/forehead at this point (post-op)?
Yes it is numb immediately and I still feel some numbness now. It’s not uncomfortable though

Can I ask, do you by any chance feel the dissolvable grips placed inside during your surgery? Apparently they dissolve 3-4 months post surgery.

Hi, you can feel a clicking sensation in your head if you push down on them but they aren’t raised to touch and you can’t see them x

Looks so good. I am happy for you. Why don’t you use Mederma scar gel on the scar if you want to reduce the appearance. Works wonders.

Hair loss update
I have lost hair around the ends of the incision , haven’t seen any physically come out on my hands but gradually noticed over time bald patches forming. I’m not fussed as I know it’ll grow back and it can’t be seen when I style my hair
