How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

Change of Opinion

It's been a few years since my journey began with Dr. Sumida. When I first consulted with him, it was to address my sagging breasts and choose the least invasive procedure to gain my desired results. It was suggested I go with a large implant, and no lift. That was fine for about one year, then they began to sag. I then requested a lift and to go with smaller implants. I also had 2 different sized breasts and asked him to address this in the lift, as I did not want to go through something so invasive and still not have the symmetry and look that I had SO many times shown him that I wanted. My last words before going under were, "How will you address the asymmetry?" He said, "We'll see when we get in there." Fast forward to post-op...my breasts were still 2 different sizes and nipples were not in line with each other. He did a later procedure in his office to "lift" my nipple to match the other. That fell after about 6 months and they're still off. I asked for 200 ccs and he went ahead and filled them to 300 because he said he thought I wouldn't think they were big enough. My breasts are still too large for my taste, they are still 2 different sizes, they do not look like I had a lift, my scars are horrendous, and my nipples are still off. I realize that everyone heals/scars differently, but his incisions below my breast were so large, that I can no longer wear certain bikini tops or dresses because my scars have puckered and it's quite obvious that I had surgery. I have seen another doctor in Folsom makes very minimal incisions under the breast to avoid this, I'm not sure why Sumida's are so large across the entire bottom of my breast, clear out to the side. I've lost count of how much I've paid this man, and I still do not have breasts that I like. In fact, I'm embarrassed of my breasts. I hate them. He may be one of the more affordable surgeons in town, but if I could go back in time, I would have chosen a different surgeon.
