Dr. Kenneth Sumida and the great team at Nuance Cosmetic Surgery changed my life for the better.
I got breast implants about 30 years ago and they were supposed to be saline. That doctor also told me they would last a lifetime. But I started having problems with them hardening years ago and had become so self-conscious about them that I’d wanted them removed for years. But I’d also become increasingly concerned about “going under” and not waking up from surgery so kept putting it off.
Then my last mammogram showed the left implant was ruptured and leaking outside the implant AND that it was silicone instead of saline. I read the great reviews about Dr. Sumida on various websites so made a consultation appointment. From that first meeting, I felt comfortable that he and the other good people I met there would take great care of me. Within three weeks, I had the surgery and couldn’t be happier with the results or the entire process. I’m so happy with how my breasts look and feel and my only regret is that I didn’t have this done many years ago. And I completely understand why some plastic surgeons, including Dr. Sumida, recommend having silicone implants replaced every 10 years.
If you are thinking about breast augmentation or aren’t happy with your current implants and are looking for a great doctor, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Kenneth Sumida and the great team at Nuance Cosmetic Surgery. They are WONDERFUL!

So happy for you! I'm 60yrs old and have had mine for 32 years. I appreciate hearing about women close to my age and how long they have had their implants. Mine are scheduled to come in June. I can't wait. Will also have a lift at the same time. Thank you for sharing.

Oh you're welcome elisilas2012 . You've made a very good decision and I'm sure you'll be as happy as me when the procedure's behind you. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Thank you for sharing! I hate when doctors say that implants last forever. I have yet to hear of that unless you get them when you are 60. Gah!

I'm glad you found a surgeon you feel comfortable with and that you're happy with your results.

Were there any supplies that especially helped as you recovered?

Since I only had my implants removed and not replaced, I didn't need any supplies on hand other than the antibiotic, pain pills and Tylenol that the doctor had me buy before the procedure. But I had so little discomfort that I only needed to take two of the pain pills and other than that, Tylenol was sufficient.
