I am about 5 1/2 weeks pre-op for tummy tuck with lipo and muscle repair. I'm a military mommy of two, ages 12 and 6. Both of my girls were delivered via c-section. I have been waiting years for this procedure and the timing is finally right. Currently, I am more excited than nervous. I'm working on losing about 8 more pounds prior to surgery. I'm sick and tired of this unattractive belly and the way I look in my clothes.

3 days post op

I have made it to the flat side and am so happy with the results so far! I went in as scheduled on Mar 14 and everyone was great and so excited for me. The surgeon marked me in the OR and shortly after I drifted off to sleep. Next thing I remember is waking up in extreme pain. They immediately gave me dilauded until my pain was controlled. Once my pain was under control I felt great the rest of that day. My PS called to check on me that night. Day 1 post op I again woke up in pain...I had to take 2 pain pills and was good from there as long as I took my pain meds as scheduled. The pain I have is from the muscle repair and lipo. I felt great after taking the meds and had my first post op appt and got my first glance.....wowza!!! I love what I see! That evening I started getting a headache and that brought me down...it lasted 2 days. I realized it was probably from the pain pills, so switched to extra strength Tylenol middle of day 2 and have been able to manage my pain just fine. The most annoying part are my drain holes and the back pain from walking hunched over. My hubs has been a huge help taking care of me, the kids and the house. Oh, and giving me daily injections of lovanox (blood thinners). By day 2 I have needed minimal help getting up and down and walking around. Day 3 (today) my headache eased up once I came off the Norcos. I also had another post op visit to remove the staples...everything is healing well and I will see them again on Monday to remove one of my drains, but hopefully both because I hate these things! Also, in case you're wondering I'm wearing a spanx and a compression garment. I've had emotional ups and downs, but I am starting to feel like myself again. Good luck to everyone and happy healing!

Feeling amazing!

Returned to work last week at 2 weeks post op. Other than getting winded quickly and feeling super tight from swelling it's been fairly easy.
