Surgery was a success!

So I had my surgery yesterday. I was freaking out over the general anesthesia but the team at Larkin Hospital were truly outstanding! They made me feel comfortable every step of the way. I woke up really sore but they gave me medication right away. I went home about 1 hour late. I feeling sore but no pain! Yeahhh

Omg I am so scared of the general anesthesia! I am petrified! Praying everything goes well.

Yes!!! So happy is finally over! I was so scared of the general anesthesia but let me tell you I am so glad I did with general but I've done with local before and $h** is tortured!!! I am doing well by the way. No pain! I will be posting pics soon.

I'm so confused on if I want to go under or not.They said if I go under it is with Dr Zayas and he can take out "more" if I am under general I go to Dr Velillia, it's 1000 cheaper but he can only take out 4-5liters. Any suggestions??

I am glad you asked me this question and I am able to help you because I was in your position about 2 weeks ago. So here is the deal... Dr. Velilla will only operated w/ general anesthesia at the Larkin Hospital and it will cost you $1,500.00, however Dr. Zayas will operate w/general anesthesia at the clinic and it will cost you $1,000.00. Now, since I've done both lipos (with local and with general) I can tell you the difference between them both. With the local anesthesia, you will feel a lot of pain (don't want to lie to you) during the surgery but the recovery is quick! You will be good to go in about 2-3 days (no joke) and while having a lipo with general anesthesia you won't feel a thing during the surgery obviously but girllllllllllll let me tell you about the recovery.. IT IS HELL!!! I am regreating right now!!!! I guess since he put me to sleep he did what he had to do!!!! He literally quicked my ass!!! I did not feel comfortable going under general anesthesia at a clinic because I was scared if something was to happen even though I am very healthy. I chose to do at the hospital for 2 reasons. #1 - I wanted to do my surgery with Dr. Velilla and #2- I wanted to be at the hospital in case something happened. Since I am not big, we never discussed how much liters they would be removing from me but I can tell you one thing.. Dr. Velilla didn't leave me with 1 ounce of fat!!!

You was so informative I really want lipo and Fat transfer and Dr. Velilla seems like the right doctor for me because I would like to be in a hospital setting may I ask what was your weight before surgery and so you have pics

My surgery is scheduled for March 22th and I am freaking out. I had a lipo done about 5 years ago but I wasn't happy with it. I am doing the surgery under local anesthesia and I remember it hurt like hell but I am too scared to go under general anesthesia. Please share your experiences with me. Thank you.

I had lipo with local and I felt a lot of pain! It was tortured! But again, I am scared of this damm general anesthesia! Ughhhh I hope I will survive
