WORTH IT$40

4 months after my BBL, I developed a micro-bacterium infection. I had to go back to my PS for him to surgically remove the infection and send the tissue for testing. It left me with an avocado seed sized hole (the best description I could think of for the size.. haha) in my left cheek. 3 months after removal, the deep wound has grown back from the inside out and has created a scar. Currently, it is still healing and a little scab BUT as soon as that goes away, I plan to use Biocorneum twice a day as directed. I have used it a few times but think it is best to wait until the scar doesn't have a scab. My goal is to have his huge purple scar to be VERY light for swimsuit season next year. Follow my journey here!

I received this complimentary product through the RealFriends program.

Hi Jax, Lasers for sure will lighten your scar but not cheap ( ask doc if he will do lasers free on scar who actually did your procedure). Try some of home remedies like putting on organic lemon juice, tomato juice, cucumber juice, or taking dry uncooked rice and soaking it in distilled water over night, strain the water, and put that on 2x/3x a day, it will help lighten it up. Also, if it is easy to get a prescription from your doctor, get them to write a script for hydroquinone, docs can write for a higher percentage but you can get 5% at some stores. Hydro. will basically make you peel and lose a couple layers of skin. When you get a scar, do your darndest to keep it most, Vitamin e, vaseline, etc., and what you are using so the blood vessels can come back in. It will keep you from scarring as bad. Also if scar is lumpy, you can smooth it down somewhat with you doing microneedling on the area, buy .25mm needle stamp or roller on Amazon...I learned with YouTube beautybyann, she shows how to do on face so just apply on your scar. Good luck! Allyson

Sorry, I meant keep your scar MOIST while the blood vessels grow back, don’t let it dry and keep it up for at least 2 months especially if you are a slow healer, that scar takes up to a year before it has gotten rid of all the swelling (maybe even more). Read up on how to keep a scar to a minimum, google natural path way to keep from scarring, then leave out natural path, you will get all kinds of ideas. Allyson

thank you so much! I’ll definitely keep working on it. it hands out of my bathing suit if I wear a really skimpy one and don’t have to have to answer questions all summer. it is a little bit lumpy. I’ve done microneedling on my face- I can’t even imagine doing it there!!! I’ll consider it though. thanks for your insight. I’ll keep everyone updated.

Update on Scar

Jax715
Hi everyone,

I cannot believe the way the scar looks now! I have been hit or miss applying Biocorneum for the past week or so. Sometimes twice a day, sometimes once and sometimes I forget. I have posted a picture- I think it looks much improved! I am going to be more literal about applying the cream- I think Biocorneum is going to work wonders!

It does look much better. I use Biocorneum as well. I know you're happy it healed nicely.

I’ve been pretty lazy applying the ointment twice a day. The lighting in the picture isn’t great but the scar is changing everyday. I am glad that it is no longer purple and is starting to lighten up. I’m going to try to keep on it all this week and post a new picture to see good progress.
