How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

I have had one of the worst customer service experiences with the office of Dr. Simone Topal. I had a procedure done on October 2016. I cannot tell you how much thought and sober decision making went into deciding upon the reduction procedure and this physician.Things went okay.... I had some issues at follow up for which I was told I just needed to wait and see. A year later the issues were way worse - disfiguring and painful. Getting scheduled for a follow up visit has been near impossible. The desk staff makes it very clear you are not a priority. I made an appointment for next week back in early December. At that time I made it explicitly clear I was paying out of pocket. I pay out of pocket for many of my medical expenses. Today I get this phone call at 12:00 pm that tells me I need to register my insurance with central registration by end of today, or my Monday appointment will cancel. I call Donna back to explain my position (self pay) and I am told she has left for the day. Having managed medical appointments for 2 kids and my husband, I have never had an experience like this. If you have a surgery with a doctor and you have a sequelae, complications, you should be seen promptly - not told to jump through hoops. To be told I cannot be seen because I do not have medical insurance posting in some central system, is just another gatekeeping response to prevent patients from receiving appropriate care. This is truly the lowest of the low service I have ever experienced from a medical office.
