Post Op Update 3
WORTH IT$12,432
My last wound check! No need to come back until 6 month post op with Mr. Quaba. All tapes came off yesterday - incisions are looking great. Swelling and sensitivity/mild pain persist as expected, with the arms definitely the worst part! I've been advised to massage and moisturise my incisions daily and to also apply tape for 4 days on, 4 days off to help flatten the scar and avoid keloid scarring.
So, so pleased with my prelimary results. Can't express enough how this has changed my life.

Post Op Update 2
2nd post op visit was on 20th March. Had a wound check (everything is looking beautiful) and Mr. Omar Quaba was there also. He briefly checked a hard, painful lump on my left that I had previously discussed with ward staff. Happy to report that the lump is just routine swelling and is certainly disappearing without any intervention.
Swelling and bruising continues to improve and I am able to achieve more daily tasks with ease.
Spire & Mr. Omar Quaba have continued to provide excellent after care, despite very challenging clinical circumstances due to COVID-19. I have a further (and final) follow up with the nurse on 27th March, and then will hopefully be discharged until my 6 month post check up!

So, so pleased with the results. Certainly no regrets from me.

Post Op Update
Had my first post op appt on day 8. Had my dressings removed and incisions checked. Everything is looking great! I had mentioned feeling very swollen (which is totally normal), but that I felt a bit more puffy in my upper abdomen. By chance, Mr. Awf Quaba was available and came in to have a feel of my abdomen and checked out my wounds. The surgical tape will remain on my incisions. But I have been cleared to shower - yay!
I have my second post op appt in 7 days time.
Again, cannot fault my experience at post op today.

Congratulations on your weight loss and skin surgery your results look amazing. I have a few questions about the surgery and was hoping you could help as it seems rare to find someone in Scotland that has gone through what I am now considering for myself...
I am a 26-year old man, at my heaviest I was around the 315lb. I have since come been down to 170lb and after hitting the weights in a sustained bulk for a while I am currently at 210lb.
To my questions then,
1) Did you discuss the full 360 lift with DR Omar?
unfortunately, I still have them thick love handles and a bit of skin on my lower back.
2)How much did the surgery cost?
3)How many days did you need to stay in the hospital post-op?
4)How long do you suppose it will take you to fully return to work, lifestyle, gym etc...?
5) might be a bit rude to ask... how much did the surgery cost?
Thanks - Mike.
1. I didn't discuss a 360 lift. My areas of concern were (in order), stomach, arms, breasts (which actually isn't my breasts, it's my bra and back rolls) and thighs which I'm happy to leave thick and wobbly. Your consultation experience will be different to mine, because everyone has their own individual areas of concern.
2. The surgery cost 9.6k for the combined FDL and brachioplasty.
3. I stayed in for 2 nights. My stay in Spire was very comfortable - nurses kept on top of my pain and nausea meds, food was great, I found the bed comfy and I had a new view of trees out the window.
4. Life feels pretty normal at this point (I'm 5 weeks post op). My arms are probably the most limiting part of the surgery and can still be sensitive, but nothing that is unmanageable. At 6 weeks post op I can have a bath and resume weight bearing work outs! I was pretty immobile the first week (<3k steps a day), but now I'm back to 10k+ a day. The only thing I notice is night time swelling if I've been fairly active.
Hope this helps Mike, and good luck in your journey.
