Flanks / Love Handles Liposuction
Last friday I got a flanks liposuction because I hated my love handles. I have always been skinny and have always worked out, but my love handles would never go away, no matter how hard I tried.
After doing tons of research and reading a lot of reviews here, I decided to get the surgery (I must confess I was beyond scared).
The procedure took arond 3hours (it started at 11am), it was performed under local anesthesia and 880cc of fat was removed. By 2pm I was sent back home.
I didn't have any pain until yesterday (24hours later). Let's say it's not as bad as I expected, but no pleasant at all either! Today (48hours later) it seems the pain is much better. I have been taking all the meds that the Dr. prescribed (antibiotics and pain killers).
I'm actually a little bit concerned because when I went back home the same day of the surgery, I checked whether my flanks were still there (I know, I have no patience), and to my surprise they hadn't disappeared and looked the same as before, but with lots of bruises.
Every day ever since I am taking pics to see if there is any improvement.
I have been wearing the garment since day 1 and have only taken it off to take a shower.
I'm worried because I have read in several reviews that people do notice a big difference right after the surgery. Later they get the famous swelling that resolves within some weeks/months.
I don't know why I haven't seen any improvement the same day after the surgery, maybe my flanks got swollen right after the procedure. Or maybe it hasn't worked as I expected.
Anyway, time will tell. I must be patient and let's see how it evolves.
In 1 week I'm having a visit with my Dr. to remove the stiches, I'm looking forward to her opinion! She's suuuper nice and so far I'm really pleased with her.
