Fat transfer to breasts from flanks

Ultimately worth it - a very up and down first three months
WORTH IT$8,090
I kept going back and forth the first three months on whether it was worth it or not. It’s so true what the surgeons say - it takes a minimum of three months to really see your results.
My breasts are smaller than I hoped, ultimately, but they’re still noticeably improved! It’s tough going from the large swelling of the breasts after the procedure to what you’re eventually left with, but if I went from my original breasts to what I now have (without the swelling in between), I would have been quite content.
My flanks are incredible! I still can’t believe it when I touch my flanks and they’re so lean! My bum looks so much nicer after the flank lipo. which my surgeon mentioned would likely be the case. I’d explain it that there’s more of a slope to my bum now and I look trimmed and neater back there, like it cleaned up the “sloppiness” I felt pre-surgery. My proportions look and feel great thanks to the new contour. Clothes fit differently. I’m noticeably more confident.
I do have two hard lumps in my right breast, which I expected to have. Lumps are very common after fat transfer. It’s not visible, I can just feel them to touch. They’re at the top of my right breast and about the size of a marble each.
Remember that surgery won’t fix your life. It improves one variable of life only. I now have fuller breasts (they felt deflated pre-procedure) and I no longer have love handles. But I have a rounded belly on my lower abdomen that bloats with my cycle, and my thighs aren’t thin. For me, there are more areas of my body I’d like to improve. But I knew that would be the case from the start. It’s important not to think that having cosmetic surgery is the key to lasting happiness, it’s only one part of life. I’m happy I have fuller breasts and no love handles. I’m very grateful. However, I still feel self conscious about other areas and having surgery hasn’t cured my life of struggles, of course. Cosmetic surgery also can’t keep us from aging. We still have to do our inner work to accept our imperfections, aging bodies, and work on finding happiness from many areas of our lives (relationships, purpose, meaning, mental health, hobbies, health behaviours, etc.). Love to you all on your journeys of living your best lives!

9 weeks - worth $11,000…?
Hi guys. Here are my 9 week before and afters. Are the results worth $11,000 and 3 months of recovery? Plus the cost of fajas, time off work, professional massages and at-home massage devices, shape wear, compression tights, surgical bras, silicone scar tape, orthopedic pillows, a body pillow…..? I don’t think so. You tell me.

Breasts have lost a lot of volume. 3 weeks to go until I can see what I’ll be left with.
Hi everyone. I’m 9 weeks post op today. My surgeon said that by 3 months (3 more weeks from now) I can consider myself 80% healed. I do notice a slight dent forming on my rear right flank. It’s not the end of the world. I’m going to be really intentional about fairly aggressively massaging it. My breasts are losing a lot of volume. I’ll post update photos at 3 months. Psychologically, I think what’s hard is how big and firm and swollen your breasts are after the procedure and that becomes your new normal and as they heal and shrink they feel so small in comparison, even though they are still fuller than they were pre-op. I’m still intending to have a second round, but I have read stories in here of people who the fat just doesn’t take. It’s a long recovery time for very subtle results. I just really don’t want to go the implant route because eventually they have to be taken out or replaced and my breasts would look saggy and deflated after taking them out. I hope as the field grows, they find ways to ensure more fat adhesion after transfers. But that’s probably a ways out still. I’d love a c cup, but nature just may never have that in the cards for me. Be well, all!

Amazing results! You look great! I breastfed and am deflated. Can I ask who your doctor was?
Thank you! Dr. Jaqueline Rose Makerewich at Toronto Cosmetic Surgery Institute.
Thank you so much!!!!

Yes, your caboose looks more shapely! You look terrific!
I’ll keep you updated after my surgery! I may even get brave enough to post some pictures. The pictures at the doctors office were a little humbling to me and I’m a little reluctant to post pictures. The before pictures especially.
