All is well! I'm finally walking straight, but have to take it easy when it comes to lifting heavy stuff. I must say that the incision from hip to hip looks beautiful! A piece of art! I am totally happy that I had this procedure done!

Hi! No he did not tell me to loose weight. I decided to use the South Beach diet two months prior to the surgery. I lost approx. 8 pounds, but first some unknown reason I weigh less after surgery

3-week update

DanisMatt
Well..., it has been three weeks since my surgery. Dr. Silverton told me to continue wearing the full body garment for another 6 weeks. I still feel tightness around the abdomen area and walk slightly hunched over. I find that sleeping on the recliner is much more comfortable than me bed. Once in awhile I find the need to take a pill for muscle spasms but other than that, I'm trying REALLY hard to get as much rest as possible.

Good for you! Looks nice. I’m 4 weeks out, still numbness around BB and lower abdominal area. I agree recliner is the best option
( for me anyway)I wish you continued healing

I noticed that rubbing the numb areas helps quite a bit with the healing.
Thank you!

Removal of tubes was painful!

DanisMatt
This morning my gut feeling "told me" to take a pain pill & I ignored it. The tubes were removed this morning and it hurt like a Motherf^cker!!! I cussed up a storm and afterwards the doctor and I were laughing because he told me that he learned a couple of new cuss words. LOL!

Prior to him removing the tubes, I asked him if we could take a selfie but I postponed it after feeling that pain.

I can't wait to see the end results once swelling goes down.

Ouch! At least the pain is over now! (hopefully)

That part is so painful! Thanks for posting this, my nurse acted like no one finds it painful. So happy to have my tube out.

We must think too much of it because the first one felt weird and kind of stung but the second one I tried so hard to think of something else and I didn’t even pay attention to the feeling so I even forgot

I heal real quick. That is why it was more painful for me.
