Finally Got my Tummy Tuck!
WORTH IT$4,650
4 kids & 12 years later I finally got my tummy tuck!
I literally cried when I saw my results! I was so happy!
Dr. Llorentes work is amazing & I am completely satisfied. When I met him I didnt know what to think because so many people mentioned he didnt talk much or wasnt very friendly. However, he was very nice & charismatic. He made jokes & my consultation was very pleasant!
For now I am posting a brief summary of my experience & will go into further detail later.
One thing I will mention, the staff at New Life that I came across were completely unprofessional & treated you as if you were an annoyance. They all seem unqualified & less than intelligent enough to do the jobs they do. They will say anything to make you go away & that negligence will cause serious consequences someday. They should feel terrible about themselves. I will NEVER go to New life again. They disgusted me with the lack of care/knowledge.

Day 1: My tummy tuck journey
I arrived in Miami from WI @ 9:45 am. My pre-op appt was scheduled for 11am on a Thursday with my surgery scheduled tentatively for Friday. I arrived early and didnt wait too long to be called. I was weighed & my height was noted. (However, I noticed my height was recorded as 5'1 in error as my height has been 5'2 for over 15 yrs) this caused my bmi to be higher but it didnt make much of a difference. Next, I met a surgery coodinator who took me to meet Dr. Llorenete. Despite what I have heard about him being "very to the point, not charasmatic" my experience was that he was very kind, funny & talkative. I felt very comfortable talking to him. He was personable. ( He spoke to me more than my previous surgeon did.) We talked about my expectations & what to expect in general. I then went to a room with my coordinator to take pics where I had to get completely naked. She took about 4 pictures from different angles. After that I signed & initialed many documents & made my payment for my remaining balance which was more than $4,000. Please make sure to check your banks daily limits on POS transactions, atms withdrawals etc. Our daily limit was $2,500 per card so we were good. After that, we left the facility & were told that I would be contacted around 5pm for my surgery time the following day. This was exactly the same as when I went to CG Cosmetics for my breast augmentation the yr prior.
As expected, I received a text with my surgery time for 1:30pm the following day. I was to take a shower with antibacterial soap, not eat anything past midnight & to come prepared. I was very excited to get rid of this belly that I was always trying to hide!

This surgeon has many deaths u Der his care as well as charges on personal issues. In May 2016 and as recent as June 2018. It is important to look up these surgeons for any prior history of deaths. I was really looking into a tummy tuck in Miami because Miami is known for "affordable" cosmetic surgeries, but many have complications and these practices and physicians change their name so that it cannot be tracked. I also found out that many of them use CRNA's because it is too expensive to pay a Anesthesiologist (MD), this is what Dr. Sergio Alvarez does. It is very important to not only look for Board Certification
In plastic surgery but also for how many mortalities these physicians have as well as complications. Just an FYI.

Thank you for all the information... Which you the best in your recovery. You look great now, I can't imagine how great you will look in 6 months from now, when most of the swelling is gone.
But one question how can you look if doctors have death under their practice?
Speedy recovery and thank you for sharing your information.

Someone else may have a better answer but when I googled Dr. Llorente I saw that he did however I wasnt getting a bbl so I wasnt worried. & thank you!

All medical professionals have a data base thatbis public information that will detail if the physicians have any disciplinary issues. It does not matter whether you are having a BBL or another procedure, there are other complications such as serious I fection rates from liposuction and with wound healing. All those things need to be taken in account. At the end of the day, we are all consumers of Healthcare and we deserve an honest, reputable as well as a skilled surgeon, not a fraudulent, unsafe physician that only cares about the money. Ladies, I'm not here to preach, just educating the general public to do a thorough research before giving your life to them. Best of luck!

Day 2: My tummy tuck journey
I woke up at about 9:30am less nervous than I expected myself to be. It was a VERY hot day in Miami with temps reaching into the 90s. I decided to arrive a bit early to surgery & was in an Uber by 12:40pm. While in the Uber a surgery coordinator called me to ask if I could arrive early. I informed her I was almost there. Upon arrival I checked in & waited for about 40 mins to be called back. The surgical assisant or w.e her title was wanted me to put all of my belongings in a cubby & pee in a cup so I could be tested for pregnancy & drugs. It was very difficult to communicate with her as she did not speak English at all. I could not produce enough pee because I couldn't drink anything since the day prior. She ended up using what I had been able to provide but it felt like a nuisance..we could have done this the day before. (Another girl who came in after me also had the same issue & mentioned how we hadnt been allowed to eat or drink) My blood pressure & pulse were then taken & I was given compression socks, surgical undergarments & a hair net. I then went to sit down for about 5 entire hours in a little pre op room. Any nervousness that I had completely dissipated because after waiting 5 hrs I just wanted to get back there & get it over with already! My husband was waiting for me in an unfamiliar city trying to keep himself occupied & I felt bad that he was waiting so long w.o an update knowing the surgery is typically only about 2 hrs. I was in this room with another woman awaiting a breast augmentation with Dr. Llorente. We had no one to come in & update us during all these hours of waiting. Finally, Dr. Llorente came himself to come & get me & take me where he could make his marks on my belly in preparation for surgery. I waited another 10 mins & met the anesthesiologist who was hilarious! He made me feel safe & was charismatic as well. I went back with him to the surgical table & he began the anesthesia. We talked about music before I passed out. Next thing I know Im waking up itchy(typical for anesthesia) & sore. I felt shaky as well. Another girl was next to me just waking up & she also mentioned she was shaky & I could tell still feeling the anesthesia. I was very groggy when Dr. Llorente came by to look @ his work. I remember him telling me not to try to force myself to stand up straight otherwise I would create stretch marks around my incision I believe? I was still kind of out of it to be honest. The assistants didnt speak much English & I informed them I was nauseous...they gave me something to throw up in & I remember hearing them call my husband to say I was ready for him to get me. I was wheeled out in a wheelchair & we took an Uber back to our Airbnb.
I went to sleep & woke up in extreme pain. My medication could not be filled because Dr. Llorente didnt write the strength on it. I went back to sleep & woke up in excruciating pain I could NOT tolerate. I couldn't move & I could no longer sleep. I texted Yuli a coordinator who told me to take Tylenol Extra Strength! Ridiculous! My husband cslled an ambulance at my request & I went to Jackson Hospital where they confirmed that Tylenol Extra Strength as a recommendation was ridiculous & cruel. Dr. Llorente told my husband (this was at 4am) to go back to the pharmacy and call him when he got there. It was too late I needed immediate relief. This was the worst pain I ever felt in my ENTIRE life. Worse than the 4 c sections I had. Worse than anything. In the hospital they told me they didn't like the idea of these cheaper places in Miami doing plastic surgery & mentioned they saw many bad things happen to girls who went to these places. They asked me had I at least met the surgeon before my procedure & I had. The only thing that helped my pain was morphine. They gave me Benadryl to prevent itchiness. I was there from 5am to 12pm the next day. New Life wanted me to come for an appt that day at 9am but I was in way too much pain to care what they had to say. None of them helped me when I needed it. So we arrived at about 1pm. The ER physicians told me to go to New Life so they could write me a new prescription however there wasnt anyone there who could when we went! Dr. Llorente did not have a back up dr or on call drs for when he wasnt in the office & told my husband it was his day off & he worked until 10pm the night prior. My husband offered to meet him at the office so he could rewrite the prescription & he said he was out of town. The coordinators who were present that Saturday morning kept saying everything was normal but could barely understand what I was saying. A nurse emptied my drains. We basically went there for no reason & spent $20 on a cab ride for them to empty my drains & tell me no one could help.

I'm sorry you went through all that and I wish you a speedy recovery. For that price it doesn't surprise me how you were treated. Shame on them!

So happy for you, you look great! What tips do you have for others considering a tummy tuck?
