WORTH IT$32,000
Well. Its been a while since ive updated. Today i am 5 weeks post op. I can honestly say that this past week was when i finally turned the corner in regards to having a fully functional day. Pior to surgery, id wake at 5 am and be at the work from 7-4:30. This week i was able to go back to my normal work hours. Wasnt so bad. I'd get stiff throughout the day (from sitting at my desk) id would alleviate by taking 5 min walk breaks. My swelling is getting better but i have consistently worn my faja with foams and boards every day, 22 hours day. Probably going to continue wearing this for a few more weeks. I plan to start exercising (brisk) walking after my 6 week appointment. Will be interesting to see how that goes, physically and mentally since i was running 25 miles a week and lifting weights 3x per week.
This past week, had another setup in my incisons. My right breast, where the T junction of a lift is, opened up and starting seeping. Its about the size of a dime. Now ive got to clean, protect and guaze it up just like the left breast. The left breast is finally starting to close up but it looks like its going to take a few more weeks to fully close. So based on that, i think the right breast will take 6 weeks to fully close. The incision hole on my TT line closing up slowly but surely as well. Probably 2 more weeks on that as well. I started Embrace scar therapy on all my incision scars (except where the incisons opened up). I didnt want to delay the healing process on the scars. Hope it is worth the investment. You will notice the scar strips in the photos.
Till the next time!

Day 18 post op

At around 2 weeks Post op I got my tummy tuck drain removed. Then an opening in my insertion line occurred and opening on my left breast incision. Ive been struggling and worrying about that all this week. Dr says to keep it clean and dry as much as possible. also apply neosporin. ive been really cautious and vigilant about treating my openings. I worry my scars are going to be messes up and i will need a scar revision. Any suggestions for scar therapy?? My dr gave my silagen to use but i hear there are other products out there that might be better???
Ive noticed swelling is going down each day and the stiffness is getting better. I still have a drain in my butt from the lipo and bbl. I hope its okay to still have it in and its not going to get infected at this point since its been 18 days now. Ive heard sometime your body starts to reject the drains if you have them in too long.
Oh all things im worrying about!

My wounds look similar....about 4 along my TT line and a couple on my breasts:( I'm hoping tomorrow my Dr. will be able to pull the stiches I can feel poking out of the winds and snip all the dissolvable stiches that haven't gone away yet to prevent future issues. I'm going through a lot of gauze( using the non stick antibacterial type and it's pricey!)
So I'm in the same boat...it sucks but from what I've been hearing/reading on other girls posts that have the same issues their scars looks fine after they close. It's more work and worry right now but it will be better soon:) my heart goes out to those girls that have had necrosis....thatmust be such aTERRIBLE thing to go through:(

Day 14 post op. Some issues. Help

So i went to my dr for a followup on Fri and she removed the drain from my tummy tuck. Ever since then, ive noticed some seeping from my stomach stutures . Its not bloody, its yellowish. Smells a little funky too. Im thinking its my stomach still draining but im getting little concerned. I still have surgical tape on my sutures and im afraid to pull them off to actually see the seepage. Anyone know what this could be????
Also, on my left breast there seems to be a sore /open spot next to my sutures near the breast fold below my nipple. Not sure if its a seroma or may just the exposed skin. It was bleeding slighty so i put surgical tape over to protect it. Im not sure if that was the wrong thing to do or what i should. Anyone have the same experience??

Hi do take pics of them and send them to the doctor or nurse? I do have a small infection wound from my TT wound with yellow pus and was advised to apply antibiotic cream on the wound. If it does smell, there might be slight infection so better to get them treated as soon as possible.

I've had two separate reductions in the past 5 years and both times I had spots open in the area where the most tension is.....the "T" of the anchor incision. Both times, I also had stiches that needed to be snipped. I believe this is a common occurrence. I contacted the doctor's office to have the stitches snipped and put Bactracin on the spots covered by a non-stick gauze. Also, I was put on antibotics to prevent any infection. I just got home from my 6 week check up and doc says all looks very good and healing. So, if it is the same thing I have, don't worry, it will heal with time and care.

P.S. The funky smell from the stomach seepage does sound like something that needs to be addressed by your doctor. That is something I am always asked when I have had openings ("does it have a smell"). Good luck to you!

Quick question. The "T" on your breast where the incision opened up, did you feel tings of sharp pains at times and tightness??

October 25, 2019
Not necessarily at the exact point of open wound but do occassionally get "jolts" which i believe are the nerves coming "back to life". Sometimes ill jump from the jolt but its not painful or distressing. When i feel tightness it is usually when i am swollen at the end of the day.

My left boob, the one with the opening is pretty sore all around. Im wondering if it has something to do with the incision opening and slight infection or if it a greater problem. It is sensitive to the touch even. Somewhat warm sensation. Id better call my pa and get on some antibiotics.

October 25, 2019
I agree....the soreness and warmth would cause me concern. The openings never caused me discomfort/pain (for worrying alot). I do remember after the first reduction, my breasts felt warm and I would hold them with my cold hands to get relief. It never turned out to be any sort of problem. I guess just the way I was healing. Fortunately, I don't have that problem this time. I think it would ease your mind to call and have it checked. Good luck, I'd love to hear how you make out.

Thanks ladies for all your insight. I have another followup appointment on Monday. in the meantime i sent the dr my pics from the opening on my tt incision and breast and they said it common and to clean and air dry it, then put neosporin on it and cover w guauze pad. Last few days it seems to be healing some better it definitely sucks looking at the sores. Kinda gross and i really wonder how the scars are going to heal?

October 25, 2019
The wounds i have this time are smaller than the first reduction i had. They do heal eventually
But the scar will be different from the others.

My dr gave my silagen scar treatment to use after my incisions heal completely. wondering if there are better or mire effective treatments out there. I know my incisions are going to be a hot mess since they opened up some!

My doc gave me Biocareum cream to use. When I questioned him yesterday about using silicone patches at some point, he said no need since the Biocareum has silicone in it. I used the silicone patches the first time so I will have some point of reference to see which works best on me. I did not like using the patches, they were bothersome to me, and I felt the scars did not heal as well as I would have wanted them to. We will see if things are different this time. (By the way, I used two different surgeons so they each have different methods of doing things).
