Finally Scheduled My Lip Lift!
$3,699
I am 50 years old and I have always disliked the long space between my nose and upper lip and as I have aged it has gotten worse. I have a weird creas under my nose when smiling and until I found this site I thought I was just going to have to deal with it. I have taken my time doing research, consulting with three different board-certified plastic surgeon's and decided to take the plunge. Each doctor I saw said I was the perfect candidate for this procedure. In fact, all of them said I was an exceptional case... I have chosen Dr. Alfonso out of Grand Rapids. He was extremely kind, thorough and detailed with how he would approach fixing my issue. He is also going to do a bit of fat grafting to balance my lips. I am extremely excited and scared all at the same time. I have scheduled my procedure for September 7, 2017. Praying all goes well. Thanks to all you wonderful people who have posted your journeys and, pictures on the pros and cons of this procedure. I will keep you updated so I can share my journey as well.

It's A Done Deal!
First I'd like to say that my lip lift review seems so insignificant with all the devastating natural disasters happening. My thoughts and prayers go out to anyone and everyone affected!
My procedure was yesterday morning and it went perfectly. I was taken very good care of start to finish. Doctor Alfonso came in and we talked again before surgery and I was very specific on what I was hoping to achieve. Made sure he knew I wanted to be conservative and natural looking. We discussed the fact that I have a long face and aesthetically conservative would look much better. He did markings and the next thing I knew I was waking up.
So far, I'm feeling pretty good. Pain is tolerable and I'm definitely quite swollen but, not too bad. I'm so relieved it's done and I'm very excited to heal and have a top lip again! It's so hard to tell at this point the final result due to swelling but, I know Doctor Alfonso only removed 5 mm's but, in combination with fat grafting I'm hoping for a nice subtle result.

I am like you! I want conservative! Did the cost include the fat grafting? How does your donor site feel? This is going to be a fantastic look on you! Thanks so much for sharing! Can't wait for more updates!

Hi KAT. Thank you so much! Yes, the cost included the fat grafting and I have some crazy bruises on my abdomen from the donor site but, pain is tolerable, just a little sore. I still have quite a bit of swelling but, it is getting better every day.

Healing is in progress!
Healing has been much easier than I expected. My incision is healing great thus far. My upper lip is still very swollen and I'm sure it's going to take quite some time for that to dissipate due to lip lift and fat grafting. My philtrum is still long but, it is amazing the difference five little millimeters can make and honestly I couldn't really see the big difference until I looked at my before and after pictures.

You certainly look years younger and now have a lovely looking smile. Your philtrum is noticeably shorter and more feminine looking. I'm sure you are in love with the results. Keep us posted with updates. I had my lip lift 7 months ago and feel like a million dollars!!!!

Think yo so much! Actually, you were one of my motivators for having this procedure done. You had a beautiful result and I'm so excited for you;). I definitely notice my shorter philtrum, mine was so long that I probably needed a little more removed but, I am hoping to be happy with the subtle result once The swelling goes down. It is still hard to smile and I'm praying I have more tooth show and don't shudder every time I see a picture of myself. Thanks again for your kind words, I will keep updating:)

You certainly are healing fast!! It definitely was the perfect amount of skin removed. Anymore..,, would not be attractive. Your philtrum is just perfect and look at that beautiful Cupid's bow!!! Are you using BioCorneum? I highly recommend it. Speeds the healing process up so quickly. It also is great for itchiness. You were beautiful before and now just simply stunning.

Awe.. Thank you so much! You are so sweet and you just totally made my day! It means so much to me, especially since I have been admiring your lip lift. Can't believe you are 60.. Dang girl, you look amazing! I feel like I'm healing very well, and I actually am going back tomorrow to have my stitches removed. Thank you for the tip on biocorneum, I'll definitely be using that once the doctor gives me the okay. How long did you have to wait before you could use it?

I actually had to wait six weeks before she let me begin using BioCorneum. And boy..... it definitely was magical. Good luck with the stitche removal. Take pix, pretty lady.
