Today is the day get my drainage tubes out!!!
Today is the day I get my drainage tubes taken out !!!. I'm uploading some pics on my one week update. So you can see my progress. Ive been wearing my compression garment ant binder faithfully except for showering. And even though I haven't had any pain in this Whole process ( I truly believe because of the experal and 800mg ibuprofen) I was still to tender to sleep on my side or stomach. Anyway your going to want to sleep with your legs slightly elevated, this will help with the swelling. I will post more updates as I change

My before pics
Ok so I'm 5 days post OP and wanted to upload some pics of before and after. I have been virtually pain free through this journey so far, I've had a little soreness, BUT THIS SWELLING is something serious. And my ass now looks like an Atlanta Stripper, looking forward to the SWELLING going away. I will update soon Here are some before pics ,,, which are about two weeks before the proceedure. And pics that I took at Dr. Okoro office. And here is the fat that was sucked out.

Finally Decided to Do Liposuction
I'm a 44 year old healthy male. I was in the Marine Corps, boxed, lift weights, tough mudder every year (10 mile obstacle course) and yet I can never seem to get rid of my love handles and I don't like my lower abs.
So after being on real self for about 2 years I decided to get liposuction. I checked many reviews many Dr's in the Atlanta area and decided on Dr Okoro. My initial contact was with Aggie over the phone and she was very personable and funny. After talking about what I would like to get done I paid my $150 consultation fee( to talk to the Dr, & that amount goes toward you proceedure) 3 days later I'm at the office, which is only about 20 min from my house.
I filled out all the forms online so once I got there within 5 min we were taking a tour of the facility. Everyone was extremely bubbly and friendly. I saw the surgery center and spa and recovery area. Everything was clean and in order from my perspective. After taking my vitals and drawing a little blood they took 360 degree pictures and then I met with Dr Okoro. We discussed what I wanted and I showed him pics and we talked about expectations. Afterwards I felt comfortable enough to pay $1000 deposit and we scheduled my appointment 3 weeks out.
I'm going to provide before and after pics and keep up with the updates because it really helped me with my decision..

Congratulations on choosing a surgeon. What are you doing to prepare for surgery?
Hey there, just checking in to see how your procedure went —come back and update when you're feeling up to it.
Ok real self family, I had my proceedure today! To start 24 hours before I eat really lite, chicken biscuit with one half the bread and about 9 PM that night I had a vanilla yogurt with a sliced strawberry with granola.
The next morning (4/18/19) my wife drove me to Dr Okoro office. From the moment we arrived there was happiness in the air. Everyone was incredibly friendly. We had in the surgery center waiting area maybe 10-15 minutes, (no big deal because we were chatting it up with one of the staff). Then it was time for me.
I changed clothes and put everything in a bag that they were going to lock up. (DO yourself a favor and wear something very easy to get on and off, I wore sweats). I met with Dr Okoro and he marked me up with a sugary marker and we told me a few funny stories about some past proceedures. Then they took my vitals and gave me something that was a supposed to make me really relaxed and sleepy. With in first one didn't work they gave me another one. I told them the second one didn't work either but when the anesthesiologist walk by she said you were just sleep..lol
I get wheeled into the OR. And the plan was to give me propofol, (Yes Michael Jackson propofal!) And then gas to keep me under the whole time. I told a couple jokes and as strange as this sounds through this whole process is was never nervous at all.
I dont even remember going to sleep, and the next thing I know they were waking me up "your ride is here". I slept mostly the 20 minute ride home. And relatively pain free because of the meds. The first two times we changed my bandages( maxi pads) it looked like a crime scene. I was dripping blood/temesant fluid down my leg and it went through the back of my shirt. My wife congratulated me on my first period.! Yeah I guess it was kinda funny . And every hour or so I get up and walk around about 15 minutes and lay back down. We have a lazy boy chair in our room which works better than laying on the bed. I prefer being at a 45 degree angle instead of flat on my back.
We just changed out my pads again and there was very little fluid on them. This was about 12:30 am , my procedure was @ 12pm . I've been drinking plenty of water and a little coconut water. Haven't had to take any meds yet. I'm just a little sore but no pain.
I will include some before and after pics after my shower tomorrow..
