I had a huge problem sweating and decided to get it taken care of. I had 110 Lidocaine shots (55 each arm) and only about 4 hurt a little. I'm a guy and I'm a little bigger so that's why I had so many, but it really wasn't an issue. The technician was great! Out of about 60 total applications of the MiraDry microwave, 4 of them burned a bit on the left side but it went away as soon as the cooling started (no pain, no gain!). Nurse said it was probably the nerve - but it was a very small localized area. I regrettably decided to go with level 4 instead of level 5 after reading some of the reviews on here and next time I'll go level 5.
Updates:
Night of procedure: Numbness in armpits, swelling, zero sweat, no odor.
Day 1: Major swelling, used ice and Naproxen to combat, worked great, zero sweat, no odor, no numbness anywhere.
Day 2: Swelling is down considerably, but I know it can take up to 3-4 days for that to really happen. Sore. No numbness.
More updates to come. Picture is 2 days after procedure.

Much less swelling, almost none. There are a few lumpy spots that are sore but all of the numbness that persisted through the last two weeks is gone. Sweat reduced by 90%!! Awesome results so far. I didn't follow the ice/ibruprofen medicine because I found that the ice effect only lasted 15 minutes and I don't like taking NSAIDS, but these remedies may work better for most of you. I'll post again in two weeks with an update since this has really been the 'recovery phase'.

After 3 Months

I am now eligible for the second treatment after 3 months. No pain or swelling present. About a 80% reduction on most days and 50% reduction on other rare and random days. Have had a couple of times I've seen Silver Dollar sized wet spots on my shirts but nothing too bad unless it's hot outside. I'm going to wait to see if I need the second treatment or not as its $1000 more. On hot days, its pretty bad, like only a 20% reduction but that's only if I'm exerting myself and I would consider it normal. I still wear deodorant/antiperspirant for the odor, daily. Overall, a lot less sweat but I want to see what happens when I wear a t-shirt under a sweater because that tends to heat things up a bit.

On some particular days, only 20% of sweat reduction. So would you consider the first treatment as a failure? Theoretically, these glands should have been destroyed, so sweat sounds like a lack of efficiency during the procedure ; partially destroyed so could they have regrown?

Okay! So on a scale of one to ten, how would you rate your satisfaction about this first treatment? Have you scheduled the second one yet?

If I had to say from one to ten, since I said it worked 80% most of the time and since it works 50% on random days and since I haven't had the second recommended treatment I guess you could pull an 8 out of 10 from that if you need to have a single number. And no, I'm undecided on the second treatment as of today.

As I stated, I use antiperspirant and deodorant for the small amount of sweat so I wouldn't know. Since there is less sweat I'd assume its better.
