I have my BA scheduled for 6/15 and originally chose 550cc Mentor Memory Shaped Silicone. My surgeon recommended the shaped implant to give me more fullness in the lower part of my breast. I'm really worried that they will look too big. I am 41, 5'3" 138 pounds. I loved the way the sizers looked in the office but 550cc seems like so much. I go for my preop appointment in 3 days and will try on sizers again.

I wanted to look natural just fuller. My dr recommend 500cc at the consultation and i said no. But after reading and looking at other ladies reviews on here i decided to trust my dr. After all he does this everyday. I actually ended up with 505cc because they didn't have 500cc in stock and i absolutely love my [RS bleep]. The are small enough that i can hide them when i want or need to. But large enough that when i want some heads to turn that happens too. I would day they are exactly what i wanted. My implants are placed under the muscle and are high profile silicone. If i had to do it all over again i would get exactly the same thing i have now. Good luck with you decision. Its a huge and very nerve racking one.

Thanks for your input. I looked at your photos and they look fantastic! It's so hard to judge because everyone's body type is so different. 500 on one person looks enormous and on another looks perfect. I will definitely go with my doctor's recommendation!

I think the size looks GREAT!! I am doing 550cc in August. I made rice sizers (videos online...just need pantyhose, rice, scissors to make them) to wear around the house and try on clothes with them! It really helped me feel more comfortable!! But, in the end, you need to be comfortable so go with your gut feeling! My opinion is the size looks GREAT on your frame...not too big at all. It gives you GREAT curves...isn't that we are all striving for?? Haha!! Best of luck!! I have 77 days and counting!! Eeeekkk!!

I had a BA about 3 weeks ago. Originally I wanted 550ccs hoping it would get be to a DD (started with a b). Surgeon recommended only 450 and that's what we went with. I'm glad because it put me at the size I wanted and I couldn't imagine being any bigger. Personally instead of focusing on the ccs pay more attention to how much projection that profile of implant will give you. Most times your surgeon knows best. It says above that you chose the size. Just curious if your surgeon said you needed that volume to fill out your breast tissue so you wouldn't need a lift it that was strictly your decision?

He had me initially pick the size based on the sizers in the office so he could understand what kind of look I was trying to achieve (I also brought pics). I was really surprised that I picked the 550s but they seemed to balance my proportions out the best. From there he recommended that I use the anatomical shaped implant to avoid needing a lift. My plan is to bring a couple of different shirts to my preop appt before I make my final decision. Your post op pics look great!

Thanks, trust me I know the choosing a size can be stressful, especially the closer you get to op day. In the end go with your gut feeling. While I did wish pics for myself to be able to compare, analyze, and know how to explain the results I wanted to achieve I didn't show them to my surgeon nor did he ask to see them which is fine with me. You know our anatomies are all different so it's sometimes hard to say I want to look like this person because we may not heal like them or have the skin elasticity etc. Just keep in mind for yourself that while the sizers in office are good what you try on and choose may not be the exact size you end up with depending on the placement of your implants. Good luck though girl, I wish you the best on your procedure with no complications and happy healing :)

Go with 550 or more or you will regret it I promise...once the swelling goes down and they settle after about 6 months they get significantly smaller. I am 5'8 130 lbs and just got 800 filled to 960 and I'm so happy I'm 5 weeks post op and they look and feel great they look and feel natural and I got saline mentor moderate plus under the muscle. Good luck hun.

Forgot to mention it was my 2nd BA 1st one was 400ccs and after 6 months they shrunk and settled and I was barely a C cup so now 12 years later finally got the size I wanted ♡

I am 8 months post op from my surgery & I received 555cc mentor memory shape implants. My advice is listen to your plastic surgeon and don't go smaller. You will regret it if you go too small, and boob greed is the worst. I have a before and after on my profile if you want to see what 555cc memory shape looks like.

Your after picture looks great! I'd be really happy if mine turned out about that size.

Thank you! I went with high profile and I'm glad I did because I love the upper pole fullness.

Preop appointment

I went for my preop appointment yesterday and after a lot of back and forth settled on 495cc mentor shaped implant. My surgeon showed me the difference in projection and width from 495 to 555 and it was a matter of millimeters. I'm hoping I don't regret my size choice but for right now I feel very settled with my decision. I made my final payment and received all of my prescriptions...antibiotic, flexeril, Percocet, scopolamine patch and zofran (I have a history of post op nausea and vomiting). I was also given vitamins to start preop and others for post op. Super excited! Less than 2 weeks!

Post op Day 1

Surgery went well. Woke up extremely nauseous despite anti nausea medications. After the nausea passed I felt pretty good. My pain wasn't bad because the doctor put a local anesthetic in. During the night the local anesthetic wore off and I was in a bit more pain. The Percocet and muscle relaxer really help. Feeling pretty good today!

You look great we had our surgery same day. I went with 450 in one 475 in other. I was lucky I didn't really have the nausea this time and I always do bit they have me a patch for nausea and Zofran in my iv and something else bit the pain was awful right when I woke up. After I got a pain pill and muscle relaxer down ot was better bit slept most of the day away. What was your preop size
June 16, 2016
I had the scopolamine patch, zofran, and decadron and still had nausea...ugh. I was a 34b preop and went with 495cc silicone memory shape implant because I was on the verge of needing a lift. I'm really happy with them so far. How are you feeling today?

I am feeling better but the pain pills and muscle relaxers make me sleep alot bit oh well I need it. He did an areola lift so hopefully the scarring won't be too bad. Time will tell. Has your nausea let up any?
June 17, 2016
Nausea is much better, just dealing with the pain now. I'm trying so sit up and walk around as much as possible because I feel like I'm most sore after lying down. Hoping I'll have a better nights sleep tonight.

I think you will love your results.
I am almost 12 weeks out and also opted for the Mentor Memory Shaped Silicone implants. I originally had decided on 450, during my first consult. My second consult, my surgeon suggested that I should get 395, because of my body shape and lifestyle. I love them!
I went from a 34/36 A.
( I could only wear padded because I could not fill an A cup.)
to a 36 full D.
I love the natural shape.
You look great. I hope your pain settles down soon.
