7 weeks!

I haven't posted in a while but everything has been great. Recovery was way easier than I anticipated and I'm back to full range of motion. In the gym, I'm able to deadlift, shoulder press, row, curl, squat, etc my pre surgery weight. I'm only limited in exercises that heavily rely on chest, so bench, lat pulldown, etc. I'm very happy with my augmentation results. Still waiting on lefty to drop further but they look amazing. I love the way my clothes fit, didn't have to toss my entire sports bra collection, and am very happy to be back full force in the gym. Can't wait to rock a bikini this summer! I haven't been sized or anything but I needed a bra to wear so I just grabbed one that I felt fit well at target and it's a 34c. It may be a bit snug in the cup area but it works for me for now. They're getting squishier every day. I've never been more confident :)

~5 weeks PO

Everything has gone better than I could have hoped! At my one month appointment I got the clear to workout whatever felt right, and it's true what people say about 'knowing' when you can or can't do an exercise. I'm not a runner so I don't know if I'm cleared to do that but I have had to chase after my 4 and 1.5 year olds and it didn't feel bad. The right one is dropping magnificently and the left is taking its time but still making progress. My scars look amazing and I absolutely love the way I look and feel in all my clothes now. I can't remember ever feeling this good about myself. I know some people have had those days of doubt where they wonder if they did the right thing by having surgery but I can honestly say that thought has not crossed my kind a single time. I'm so happy with my results and the fact that it's only going to get better from here is amazing. I have full range of motion and can do most back, bicep, tricep & shoulder weight exercises with no trouble. Chest I've been going super light, we're talking 2.5's for bench press here lol. I'm just fine taking my time. I'm not worried about losing muscle mass or strength. My husband will be coming home from deployment at the end of this week so hopefully he likes what he sees :)

Green light!

I went to my two week post op today and got the clear to work out! He said I can start light on upper body with no direct chest work and that my body will let me know if I'm doing too much. I plan on just going through the motions for about a week and maybe starting with like 2.5 pound weights and go from there. Definitely don't want to risk injuring anything! But since I've been lifting my 25 pound one year old for over a week now I think I can handle some light bicep work haha. I also got the ok to shower and man is that a relief! I really love baths but when it's the only thing you can do it gets old! Not to mention washing my hair upside down under the faucet agh. Other than that, the left is still taking its time to drop. But my incisions he said look good. I wouldn't know either way, that stuff gives me the creeps haha but they don't hurt and the stitches will dissolve on their own.

The initial consult was great, he was very informative and attentive. He answered all my questions confidently and right off the bat let me know the expected cc's I'd be getting due to my size.
