37 Yr Old Mom of 3. 5'4" and 122lbs. Fayette, AL

I still have days where my abs spasm into a hard rock so still have to limit any lifting that involves my ab muscles. Doing a lot of bike riding/hiking. Dr said may take up to a year for me to be able to do the ab exercises. Also my scars are still very dark : (. Every day is progress though and I keep having to buy new clothes. Not only did I drop a few pant sizes but went from a medium to small shirt????. Couldn't be much happier about my decision to do this. Seriously has changed the way I feel about myself and changed my sex life. So much more confident. I still can't lay on my stomach and bend back very far. Still feels like the muscles are tight. Booooo. I started having a tiny bit of redness on a tiny spot on the mid-right of the incision. So, my husband outlined it with pen and we watched for a day. That part didn't get too bad but then on the far left a huge (size of a hand) red area that was hot popped up fast. I went to the PS and he started my antibiotic.
I asked about the silicone strips and he said I could put them anywhere that was not an open wound. Well after a day both spots had scabbed over so I tried them. Big mistake. It dissolved the scabs. So I think it's a little setback in the long run but a bummer. I will be keeping it open to air for a week before I try that again.
