I had a tummy tuck from Dr. Gray. At the consultation I asked him where does the incision line go. He said hip to hip, but he goes lower in the monster area. During the consultation he talked really fast and mostly bragging about how great his thinks he is. My gut instinct said to go elsewhere (I should have listened to myself). I joined his Facebook group and seen good results so I went with him. Big mistake! My incision goes almost all the way around and up over my hips, no way will a bikini cover that. He also told me I may not have enough skin to pull and may have a t scar. Well he pulled it anyway. At about seven days po my incision started blistering and getting dark black hard spots. Dr Gray said it was just scabs and not to worry. I had to damn near beg for a referral to the wound care Center. He wanted me to go to a hyperbaric clinic. I wanted a wound care specialist. So glad I got the referral, it was necrosis. After 40 hyperbaric treatments and 3 medications it is healed. But at Dr Grays office he tried to touch the wound with no gloves on. He argued with me about it to the point he was swearing at me. He is very unprofessional, rude and arrogant, if a Dr can't tell the difference between a scab and necrosis he needs to go back to med school.

Oh my gosh, I am so sorry that you had such a horrible experience. Please know that the RS Community really appreciates how brave you have been in sharing. I hope everything works out and you heal well.

I had an abdominoplasty 9Sep. My wound opened the center section a couple days post-op. The surgeon said it was manageable but full thickness. The drains failed and he removed one and the other fell out. There was so much drainage I saturated two peri-pads about every 2 hrs and the drainage ran down my legs and all over the toilet, the sheets, my nightgown, and anything else it could. For 4wks I had this gaping ful-thickness wound. I was nauseated, couldn't eat, was weak, and pale. Getting up to go to the bathroom or the doc's office my heart rate increased to 150 and I gasped for breaths. Finally I got hooked up with a wound care doc and had 2 surgeries to clean the wound and attach a wound vac and spent 5 days in the hospital. The wound vac dressing got changed 3X/ week and TODAY the wound vac got dis continued. The wound is 11cm X 2.5cm X0.5cm. Now with a silver dressing and tape and onward with the healing and hoping it hurries. Wound vac on 11Oct and D/Cd to 14Nov. I'm with you on plastic surgeons being allowed to do surgery and not taking care of their complications and not being able to hold them responsible for their errors.
