you guys will remember me as melissasammons, but i changed my screen name--that wasn't even my real name! hahaha! I am now OhToBeAB

photos in next post.

ok. Here's the nitty gritty: 5'6.5". size whilst nursing 36G; size currently 36DDD. 177 pounds, size 10/12. 35 years old. 3 kids (19 mo, 5, and 9).

So I knew that I wanted to write a review, but I was feeling like I wanted an actual "affirmative" on the surgery before posting. AND I HAVE APPPPRRRRROOOOOOOVVVAAAAAALLLLLLLLL! I was penciled in for 10/28, but clinic has next Tuesday open. Talk about a crazy ride!!!!!

1. first consultation for a BR back in 2006. DDD/E. My oldest was 1, and I was so sick of my boobs that I didn't care if I ever breastfed another child--I just wanted them GONE. Though something just didn't feel right. I dropped it, and decided to wait.

2. second consult was in 2010. 2nd baby is done breastfeeding, and is now 1. DD/DDD. saw a different surgeon, and got approval AGAIN. But this guy....hmmm....he was like, "Well, I don't think you'll want to be under a D...or at the very least a full C....you don't want to lose your curves!" So I dropped it again because it just didn't seem like the right fit.

3. fast forward to 2014. We had a shocking third baby, and now i understand why I didn't have the right feeling about lobbing my [RS bleep] off--I was supposed to be blessed to nurture our relationship via nursing him for 18 months. I know we would have bonded even if I hadn't nursed, but I am blessed that I was able to--it got us through some rough times.

3. Had my consult just 3 weeks ago. paperwork sent in, and i started bugging insurance last week. I phoned this morning, and the guy nonchalantly says: "it's been approved." I'm like, "What?"

I wouldn't have been one bit surprised if it hadn't been. i wasn't impressed with the amount of paperwork i had from the chiropractor, I'm not obscenely huge by many's standards....I was preparing for the worst. Preparing to appeal. then: "You're approved." I knew it would be complete grace if it was approved with no fight, and it was.

pre-op physical is all set for Thursday, and we're gettin this mama done!!!

Before photos & lipo/drains

OhToBeAB
I talked to my dr about lipo and drains--as I was interested in neither.

He said he does lipo for women who want it, but said with certainty that 6 weeks out most patients breasts are healing great, but the ones who are still dealing with discomfort, it's most often at the lipo site. Though I'm sure I'd be pleased to have fat removed, I was really worried about how long it could put me out of commission in relation to holding my toddler, etc.

He also said he doesn't use drains. He said, "if you are bleeding heavily, we will take care of it." Alrighty!

Avocado boobs. One track mind

OhToBeAB
I was cutting up an avocado for baby's and my lunch, and I immediately saw how the stem bit rested adorably on the top of the fuller part of the fruit.

I thought, now *thats* a nice looking boob.

My areola has never rested adorably atop my boob. I've been stretched for so long that they've always been an afterthought on the bottom.

I'm like a breast-obsessed teenager
