Im 29 and a mother of 2 i was in a 8 yr violent...

im 29 and a mother of 2 i was in a 8 yr violent relationship where i was called fat all the time i had been 21 stone for 1o years i was feeling unwell, depressed and tired all the time ,i went for blood tests and there it was i was diabetic due to being over weight,id already seen 2 of my close friends die from this and leave there children behind i wasnt prepared to do that. Luckily a close friend of mine had a gastric by pass 7 months before me and she had lost so much weight i got very jealous and with that i plucked up the courage to ask for the surgery myself my doctor said i had no chance ,i walked out devastated i couldnt believe it i was 28 and 21 stone and to be honest i thought im gunna die if i dont do sumthing. So i went back to the doctors for a second opinion this time i saw a female doctor who did put me in for the surgery. She said she didnt want me to get my hopes up, well 2 weeks later there was the letter i had the funding i couldnt believe it , so i went to meet my surgeon 2 wks later where i was weighed and i was told my health was in danger and that i had 3 wks to lose 2 stone, and if i didnt i wouldnt get the surgery. Well i left there thinking am i gunna do it , they gave me a diet to follow the liver reduction diet and i started it 2 weeks before the surgery and im glad to say i lost 16lb , 7th may 2010 was the day of my op i was soo scared luckily i had to be there at 7.30am so didnt have much time to think i was the first one to have the op and i can safely say it was not easy. When i came back from theartre i felt terrible the first day was the worst from all the drugs ,i was soo tired and so sore ,i was let home after 3 days it was great to be home and in my own bed ,then i was on the liquidized diet which wasnt to hard coz i was never hungry so wat i had filled me up very quickly , 2 months in and i started solid foods where i did struggle and i was sick alot ,but the good thing was the weight was coming off so fast i was looking fab,but i wasnt feeling to great always soo tired ,my dietician sent me for an endoscopy where they found the joining in my tummy was a little bit to small so they put a balloon in an opened it up more and it didnt hurt at all. Infact i didnt even know they had done it,now im 7 months post op and iv lost 8 and half stone ,im now 13 stone and im in a size 14/16 where i was in a size 26. im more than happy im not with the violent ex as i got my confidence back, im with a nice man now he treats me like a princess. Would i reccommend it yes i would ,its not the easy way out its the hardest thing u will ever do ,if u are unhappy being overweight then do it...[RS bleep]
