Hi, I finally scraped up enough money to get BA....
WORTH IT$6,000
Hi, I finally scraped up enough money to get BA. I've been thinking about getting BA for about 4 years now. I have breasts of a teenage girl, it makes me feel so insecure when I wear a bikini or a lingerie. I'm tired of huge and uncomfortable padded bras.
Stats:
Age: 23
Height: 5'2"
Weight: 110 lbs
Bra size: 32 A/AA hoping to get a full C cup post-op
During my first consultation with this PS, he recommended Silicone 450 cc which is the biggest I could go with the beast diameter and tissue I have. I've always liked the 400 cc look when I visited other PS and tried the sizers on. My PS also told me that because he is putting it under the muscle, I could lose a few cc's. So, he said that if it makes me feel better, I could go for 425 cc for the 400 cc look. I also did the rice test at home and I seem to like the 400 cc look. The problem is, I am afraid that it will look too big for my frame, my intentions for BA is to get a proportional and natural look, not too heavy on the top or look too obvious that I had BA.
Another problem that I am really worried about is my implants riding too high. I saw a lot of pics on here where people look pretty natural 2 weeks post-op and I also see people who are still riding high at 4 months! I also read responses from PS on here that the swelling makes it look that way but the implants are pretty much where they are right after surgery and it will not change that much. They also said that some PS insert the implants too high. I looked at my PS's before and after photos and even after 3 months, most of them were riding pretty high. He said that some patients like the "clevage" look. I've also read that some people don't drop and fluff until after 8 months. I'm sure healing time are all different for all individuals but I'm just really anxious of not looking natural and have high riding implants. Any advise?
My pre-op appointment is this Thursday (09/19/2013). I will have to confirm my size with my doctor then. I'm excited and nervous at the same time! :)

Pre-Op Appointment Tomorrow!
So, I am still going back and forth about what size I would like. My PS recommended 450 cc but I am not comfortable with that number. I read that I should not be obsessed with cc's but to just show my PS the picture of the boobs I want and let him do his job in figuring out the cc's. The thing is though... I think he is recommending bigger implants because he doesn't want me to regret that I did not go bigger in the future. I did went to another PS and he told me that my breasts could take 400 cc over the muscle no problem. So, I am incline to believe that 450 cc under the muscle should be okay... yet, after doing the rice test, I could accept the 400 cc size, but tend to now think that it might be too big. I thought of going 375 cc but the difference is literally 1.7 tablespoons; not to mention, I will lose about 10% of the size putting it under the muscle. I have to make up my mind tomorrow and I still don't know what to do.

Pre-OP Updates
So, I went to my pre-op today and my PS and I agreed on a size that is best for me based on the picture of the boobs I want! I am so happy and relieved! I cannot wait to get boobies!
:D
We decided on 375 cc, moderate plus, smooth round silicone!
:D
My PS was very impressed at how organized (surgery paperwork etc) and educated I am about BA. He said that he's never had patients that asked him all the tough questions. He also said that I am his most informed and well researched/ prepared patient thus far! I feel flattered. :p

Thank you for starting your journey on RealSelf. It sounds like you've been doing some great research and have some excellent questions for your PS and the community. Would love to see some photos (even in a tank top) with and without your rice sizers. Wish boob photos would also be great and helpful to your PS. Let us know how your appointment goes this week!
