After giving birth to my singleton and twins, I developed real bad Diasis Recti causing me to appear 3 months pregnant, which was very disturbing to me esp. as a competitive runner. Dr. Hess did an amazing job and I'm very happy with the end result!! My self esteem and self confidence is back! I highly recommend Dr. Hess !

It's only been about 6 weeks so I still have some swelling above the navel. Very very happy with the end result!

I added some pictures, but I still have some swelling since it's only been 6 weeks since I had the procedure. I had the Umbilical Float Tummy Tuck.

Did you visit many doctors before choosing Dr. Hess? Thanks for taking time to answer my questions. I'm so nervous but will regret it if I don't do it.

I did my research without having to do any consultations but 1. I didn't want to waste my time and money going to several doctors. Instead, I would send pictures and ask the dr. what procedure they thought I needed to fix my severe diasis recti issue and all of them told me I needed a full tummy tuck! This is around $10k procedure! I didn't have a lot of loose skin and my main issue was basically the muscle separation. (Diasis Recti) I read that Dr. Hess was very experienced (with great reviews) and has performed many umbilical float tummy tucks, which seemed to fit the description of my issue. After my consultation which Dr. Hess, it was hands down that he was the one! I just wish I had the done earlier! My daughter is 7 and my twins are 4. Feeling so fantabulous about myself now!

Thanks for sharing. You are so helpful to me during this scary process.

The hardest step is just scheduling the surgery. Nerves are normal. You'll be in good hands with Dr. Hess.

To yours and a very bad DR. So you know if you had an umbilical float? How has your recovery been? Do you feel stronger? How is your scar? Sorry for all the questions. I'm having surgery sept 22. I'm nervous!!

Just saw you had the umbilcal float. That's what I'm having. I don't have any loose skin either. Does your belly button seem different to you know? Does it seem a lot lower?
You look amazing!

Hello, I had the same procedure as you. I am almost 9 weeks post-op and still have soreness and some swelling, especially to the right of my belly button. When did ur soreness and swelling go away? The pain I feel to the right of my bellybutton is like a stinging sensation off and on.

Hi - I'm about 4.5 month post op and I'm experiencing the same thing. On the right side of my belly button it feels like a ridge that runs diagnolly over my belly button (on the right side) It's a very tight feeling and will sting from time to time. I usually get this towards the end of the day. I still gave very little sensation around my belly button.

Thank u so much for your reply. I had sent my PS's nurse an email about it a few weeks ago. She told me it could just be a stitch irritating and should go away in time. I am supposed to email her back in 2 weeks to let her know if it is gone. I have a post-op appt Oct. 21st, if it is not gone by then I will ask my PS about it as well. Did u have an umbilical hernia repaired? I did and am wondering if it has to do with that, or possibly with the fact he cut and repositioned my belly button.

I had my unbuckle hernia repaired 2 yrs prior to my surgery. The feelings you are having is exactly what I'm going through. I'm very impatient and wished that this band (right side of my belly button) or ridge that forms and gets firm to the point that it stings would dissipate. Good thing you have a nurse that you can follow up with. I don't and I never went back to my last post appt appt because the receptionists screwed up my appt time and changed it without informing me.

I meant "umbilical hernia". Don't know how to edit????!!!

I will let you know what my nurse says when I email her in a few weeks. Also at my follow up appt in October. Maybe I will be able to give you some answers too:)
