I'm so glad I found this site! It's been so helpful already!! As many of you have said, I developed very early and since then have endured the comments and the jokes and having to fork over much more money for a bra than those within the "normal sizes". I always wondered whether guys were interested in me or in my body, but thankfully I met my husband who are is the greatest man on earth. He is so supportive of this procedure and says he can't wait for me to be pain-free and to be able to shop for clothes and bras without the restraints of my boob size. I met with Dr. Andrew Kriegel about 2 months ago and while at first I was unsure, after doing my research and finding you all on here I am determined to go through with this. I am scheduled for July 30 and so will have a complete month before having to go back to work. I am currently 36GG and am hoping to go down to anything between a C and a DD. I'm not skinny so I'm afraid of looking disproportionate. I can't wait to be able to work out and dance and be more active without being weighed down by my chest. I would love to hear from you all, as I am very nervous about being put under. I've never done it before and have heard people waking up nauseous and /or in pain. Do you get pain meds before you wake up? Also, what should I buy before Thursday? Thanks!

Congratulations. You will be so happy afterwards. I was terrified of being put under because it was my first surgery. Before I even got to the operating room the anesthesiologist put something in my IV that was really nice. Next thing I remember was waking up. Thankfully I had no nausea. I started taking my pain meds when I got home. Remember the anesthesiologist is your friend...don't be afraid to day you are nervous. They have all sorts of good things to help with that. As far as pain there was a lot of stinging the first couple of days and some discomfort, but nothing I would consider real pain. Just take it easy and get plenty of rest.

I was more nervous about anesthesiology then the surgery but I'm fine. Like the other commenter said They give you something to relax you before the actual general meds. Next thing I knew I was waking up in recovery. As far a sizing do wants healthy and what make you feel happy. I didn't want to go through such a long surgery (started apps 7;45 until waking up at 2) and not see a significant difference. I was about a G or H and I look like about a C today

GOOD LUCK TO YOU
Ps my surgery was Thursday July 23

Thanks so much and yeah, after thinking about it more, I'm thinking I've had big breasts for 23 years I know what it's like so I am completely fine with a C cup!! :)

The surgery could not have gone smoother! All of the nurses and the surgeon, my husband and my family were amazing! Anesthesia was nothing and I woke up pain free. I did puke twice but just liquids. My first thought waking up was " I have to peeee!!"
My first night was great, no pain with the drugs. Today I've been in a lot of pain so I've been in and out of sleep. I might take a peek at the girls tomorrow and take some pics!!!

Day 2 and 3...ouch

Yesterday and today have been a little rough. As soon as the pain meds would start wearing off, the pain would kick in. Stabbing pain in the lower incisions. Once the meds kick in though it's fine. One unexpected issue I've been having is an overactive bladder. I have been peeing at least once an hour and I feel like I don't quite empty all the way. No burning or pain, just the frequency and fullness. Any thoughts or advice on this?
Also drains come out tomorrow so I will post pics after. I haven't even had the courage to look yet!!!

I had my surgery on Wednesday. I was hooked up to an IV for almost 24 hours. That's a lot of liquid. I felt the same way about peeing but I attributed it to the IV.
