My Failed Hair Transplant Corrected By Medispa Hair Transplant Clinic
Hello friends! The title of my reviews lays it bare that I have been a victim of a failed hair transplant procedure and which was corrected by Medispa Hair Transplant clinic, can’t thank them enough! Now, imagine dealing first with hair loss, the social anxiety, the loss of confidence in professional and personal space, the constant emptiness, insufficiency but then somehow making up my mind to get a hair transplant done.
Spending money, time, energy and then wait for almost 14 months to get to know that my procedure was a failure. Sounds daunting and exasperating? Yes, that’s what I have lived. I am a 42 years old finance manager working in an MNC in Gurugram. At the age of 35, I started noticing hair thinning near my temples and by 37 years of age, I could easily know that the menace of hair loss has set its evil eye on me.
As usual, I started with cosmetic products such as ayurvedic hair oil, some lotions, conditioners, shampoos etc. but soon realised that these products are barely helpful in dealing with hair loss but only helpful in emptying one’s wallet. Through internet search and newspaper advertisements, I got to know in detail about availability of hair transplant procedures to deal with hair loss.
While initially I was sceptical whether to go for a surgical procedure or not but then there are no other choices if one has to deal permanently with hair loss. However, here I did my first and biggest mistake, I somehow got overconfident by those advertisements that hair transplant is a very simple procedure and I started choosing clinics on the basis of lowest cost.
Little did I know that I was heading for the most exhausting phase of my life. Long things short, my first hair transplant surgery was a disaster, I started looking like a Barbie doll with such poor hair growth that I lost all hope. It was like the only solution to deal with hair loss has ditched me. Then, through a friend I got to know that there are hair transplant repair surgeries available and he suggested me to meet Dr. Suneet Soni immediately.
I can’t thank my friend enough in the hindsight. I immediately booked a consultation with Dr. Suneet Soni at his Medispa Hair transplant clinic in New Delhi. Dr. Soni was very understanding and a patient listener. He had such a soothing effect on my anxiety levels that I could immediately feel the much needed doctor patient connect with him. He explained me in details about what procedures shall he undertake.
Since my donor area had also depleted, it was a bit complicated case but Dr. Soni was quite motivating and experienced. He started with quickly educating me what went wrong in my previous surgery and how can we improvise, he also helped me to set realistic goals this time. Next, he informed me about what can be the cost of such a procedure and I was immediately ready for the same as it sounded so reasonable.
Finally we booked a slot for surgery which was preceded by some lab investigations which came ok in my case. On the scheduled day of surgery, I received a warm welcome by the team led by Dr Suneet Soni, he informed me more about choosing chest area in my case as a donor area because the standard donor areas of back of neck and sides were depleted during the last failed surgery.
I was administered local anaesthesia and Dr. Soni performed the surgery that lasted for more than 5 hours but was largely painless and free of complication. Dr. Soni then prescribed me some dietary supplements, some post-surgery instructions such as sleeping with an elevated head, not to consume alcohol or smoke or brush my hair for next one week to let the roots heal.
He also advised me against swimming or sauna or direct exposure to sunlight for some weeks. This time around I had to religiously follow all the instructions because once burnt I was twice shy. In around 8-9 months I could see fresh hair coming out from the transplanted follicles and soon after around 14 months I had an almost natural looking hair back on my scalp.
I will be forever grateful to Dr. Suneet Soni and the team at Medispa Hair transplant to help me steer through the deep dark crisis of a wrong hair transplant surgery. I will pray for them to grow, prosper and deliver more smiles in the sad world of hair loss patients.
