Facial Scarring Caused By Laser Resurfacing (Fully Ablative)
In September 2019, I had a number of procedures done, laser resurfacing, a lift lip, brow lift, and quad blepharoplasty. It was a disaster. The laser resurfacing ruined my skin, damaging the delicate skin under my eyes, resulting in severe redness and irritation and left permanent scarring on both cheeks. The surgeon brushed it off as hyperpigmentation and didn't want to address my concerns.
To add insult to injury (literally) I've been told by another surgeon that I need to have both my brow and upper bleph redone because everything is still droopy. I was not yet 49 and actually recovered well with no bruising or infections, it wasn't until months later I even noticed the scarring.
I didn't upload photos of the other issues, just the scarring. Be cautious. I did all my homework, saw a board-certified surgeon and did all the right things. I've since learned that pretty much all laser problems are operator error and to be honest since I was sedated for the brow lift and blepharoplasty,
I don't really know if it was the surgeon or a nurse who actually did the procedure. I won't have the brow and bleph redone, I spent too much the first time. If I could have the scarring fixed, I would but have yet to find someone who can correct it.
