Facial Feminization Surgery
My FFS was scheduled with the AMAZING Dr.Chaiet on March 22, 2022. We did a hairline lowering, brow bone shave, eye brow lift, and a revision tracheal shave. When I say that he did a PHENOMENAL JOB, I really do mean that! I'm typically a REALLY picky person, and tend to point out the smallest flaws that I just do not like. There was a hematoma that developed on my left side so f my face near my eye, but with the help of his FANTASTIC nurse Stephanie, she was able to take care of that for me! Dr. Chaiet's team were great at answering my questions ASAP and to resolve any concerns I had. It's now been 4 months since surgery and everything continues to look better and better each day. Scaring does take time to heal, and would recommend silicone gel pads for them; they protect the scar from the sun, flattens and lightens the scar so it's barely visible! Highly effective! Anyway below are pictures of my results so far! Thank you Dr.Chaiet
Tracheal shave
My original surgery day was 10/26/2021 with Dr. Chaiet. First and foremost, Dr. Chaiet was a pleasure to work with. He had excellent bed side manners and a plethora of knowledge regarding anything from the surgery itself, to the after care. Nurses and staff fantastic, very kind and helpful. However I'm not entirely happy with my results. Post surgery everything was swollen so I couldn't really see the full results. 2 months in and all the swelling had gone down, and still a visible Adam's apple (kinda even seem worst). Dr. Chaiet explained the risk factors of shaving to low, which I understand because of the possible damage to the vocal cords. We agreed on a revision, as well on a hairline lowering and brow bone shave which is scheduled for April 1st.
