Trachea Shave, Aftercare Doesn’t Exist

Let me explain. I had a trachea shave. Surgery itself was a simple process, no issues. NOW THE REAL ISSUES.

Aftercare, what aftercare? After surgery I woke up to find the Dr had gone home, he didn’t even bother to stay and check that everything went OK and I felt fine. Moving forward over a year, I have never had any contact from him or anyone from his company to see how I was or ask how things have healed etc. For all anyone knew it was a total mess.

I have a massive ugly scar on my neck which is very visible, not hidden in a natural curve of the neck. I have emailed him to show him the visible scar and ask if anything can be done but I get no replies.

So overall I thought I was getting a trachea shave within a natural fold of my neck and the surgeon seemed nice so I thought I was get good aftercare. Instead I have a horrid scar and not one bit of contact ever since coming out of theatre.
