Good Results, Correction May Be Needed.

I had my FFS with Dr. Bart almost 2 years ago.

My procedures were Rhinoplasty, Hairline lowering, Eyebrow lift, Forehead shave type 3, lipofilling in my cheeks and chin/jaw shaving.

My experience with Dr. Bart was that he was kind and friendly around me, however sometimes a bit regal.
Absolutely no problem for me however.

4.5 stars for how he treated me.

The clinic was excellent. Everything was modern, clean and welcoming and the whole staff was exceptionally kind and caring.

Easily 5 stars for my stay in the clinic. Loved it there!

Now to the most important, the result of the surgery:

The forehead shaving, eyebrow lift and lipofilling results are excellent and I only have very slight numbness behind my scar line left. Everything healed really well.
5 stars for these procedures.

The hairline lowering really had no noticable effect but I did not expect it to have one, so 3 stars for that.

The Rhinoplasty went well overall but not great. It did the job and my nose passes as female but that is it. The result is average, nothing special. It healed well.
3.5 stars for that.

Last but not least there is the jaw/chin shaving and that is difficult for me.

Visually the result is excellent, 5 stars.

However I have been left with some sort of nerve damage on the left side of my jaw. Ever since the surgery the left side of my chin and jaw is very oversensitive to touch and if I press slightly on my jaw at a certain spot I get teeth pain. This is usually not a problem but prevents me from resting my head on my hand and from playing violin for more than a few minutes.

That nerve damage drags the whole rating for the chin/jaw shaving down from 5 to 2 stars.

That beeing said at my postoperative appointment Dr. Bart told me that this could be corrected to some extent.

Once I am in a more stable situation with my current job I will ask for a correction and will edit my review after that.

So currently my rating is 3 - 3.5 stars overall. If I will be offered a free correction which helps with my jaw my rating might change to 4, possibly 5 stars depending on the result.

Oh the nerve damage is scary. I have nerve damage too from surgery with him. How will you correct it? Neurosurgery?

I wouldn't suggest going back to him to repair nerve damage to your jaw as that is beyond his "skills" and if he had the "skills" to perform the surgery without causing permanent nerve damage you would have regained all sensations already. I don't think he fully knows how to avoid damaging the nerves. I believe he makes the fun and based nerve recovery on luck. He lacks the skills with avoiding nerves I think. However, It is very odd for someone who always claims to be the best yet has lawsuits against him.

I also have nerve damage and feel my teeth when I touch my jaw. Why did he do this to us? I'm scared that my nerves are exposed you should get that checked and don't just go with what he says as you need a different doctor for this.

There is a sensory nerve running through your lower jaw that comes out of the jaw through the ´foramen mentalis´. When the FFS surgeon feminises your jaw he has to remove bone under that foramen. This may cause that the foramen gets positioned just at the lower border of your jaw. If you rest with your hand on your chin your hand will press directly on the nerve.
It means the surgeon has feminised your jaw as much as he could. That´s why you are writing the aesthetic result of the chin shave is excellent.
You can easily solve the problem by not resting with your hand on your chin.
I think I deserve the 5 stars :-)
