Fantastic Recovery and Results

UPDATED FROM Talia Stanley

official photos

Here are the clinical before and after photos. I got them originally in PDF format so hopefully they didn't get too compressed in the conversion to something realself allows me to upload. These were from the pre-op visit and the 4 month recovery mark visit. I didn't remember how I had styled my hair so unfortunately that's different between the two, but the side views show the most visible portion of my hairline scar, in the patch where the hair is missing on the side. It had to be trimmed slightly to perform the surgery. The scar follows that gap on the sides but forms my hairline across the top and is already nigh invisible.

Pictures requested

I got a request for pictures and this is what I have currently. I just had my 4 month recovery appointment and haven't actually gotten the official before/after pictures taken by the team yet, so all we have are my selfies.

Thanks alot.. we'll wait for the professional ones also *-*
I've posted an update with the professional photos. It slipped my mind for a bit. Sorry for the delay!
What kind of surgery did you have?
I had a bundle of procedures commonly grouped under Facial Feminisation Surgery. In my case, that included a brow bone reduction, brow lift in the process, tracheal shave, jaw contouring, rhinoplasty, lip lift, and fat grafting to the cheekbones and lips from my abdomen.

Fantastic Recovery and Results

I had a kit of procedures done as part of a facial feminization surgery with Dr. Rolfes. Dr. Rolfes is knowledgeable about facial features and what tiny alterations can make one seem feminine or masculine and is skilled at adjusting them. The difference for my dysphoria was night and day. For scarring, at 4 months mine look great. I can barely find the one at my hairline and the others are faint enough I'd have to point them out. Dr. Rolfes has also been extremely informative and helpful about how I can aid the healing process and help the scars disappear even more.

On the subject of bedside mannerisms, the entire team was knowledgeable and welcoming for a trans patient, and I felt well cared for and understood. Every decision I made about the procedure I was well informed for.

Anecdotally, it was very difficult to keep a neutral facial expression when taking the after pictures because I kept smiling when comparing to the before pictures.
