Dr. Rolfes is a Hidden Gem for the Transgender Community
Went to Dr. Rolfes for FFS on October 13th, 2020. I’m only a week post op, but already can see dramatic and amazing feminizing features in my face.
I live in Los Angeles, California and am surrounded by talented cosmetic surgeons. However, when I met with them none of them seemed to truly understand what I was looking to do other than Dr. Rolfes. I flew from CA to MN specifically to see him. In my opinion Dr. Rolfes is a hidden gem within the Transgender community.
Things that worked really well:
* The office staff is awesome. They are very communicative, you know exactly where you are and what to expect. Lots of data, but broken up for you in easy to consume ways.
* The Wayzata Surgery Center seemed nice. Hard to say as I was out for most of it, but it was clean, well designed and yet felt personal and warm. Not as cold and uninviting as a traditional operating room.
* Dr. Rolfes is an amazing listener. He also describes back to you what he thinks you mean to ensure you’re both on the same page. He truly did understand exactly what I was asking, and most of all... I actually felt like he truly cared. I never felt rushed in any meeting. I always felt he would stay as long was necessary to answer all my questions... Which he did.
* His talent as a surgeon is stellar! Give me a few months for the swelling to go down in a few areas, but... Ya know, it’s easy to tell based on what my face looked like before vs now.
* I didn’t use insurance. But his costs were very, very reasonable. I mean, this is my face so I wasn’t exactly price shopping. But what he charged felt fair and if anything I got extreme value for my dollar.
I truly believe that Dr. Rolfes is an as-of-yet rockstar surgeon that will soon have a years long wait list. IMO if you can get on his calendar it would be worth it. I consider myself very lucky to have found him.

Thank you for taking the time to share your personal story, glad you had a great experience. Will you be sharing photos?
