Best Dr. I've Ever Seen!

Here are some of my before and after photos, as well as extra info that you may find helpful!

- I had my thyroid cartilage reduction and forehead contouring later done separately — I had the former done In January of 2020, and the later in July.

- I had a type 1 reconstruction with a little bit of hairline work. We were actually planning on doing a type 3 reconstruction with plates and screws, but while I was in surgery Dr. Chaiet determined that my anatomy would actually lend better to a type 1. Apparently my sinus is particularly wide, and the type of dissection needed for a type 3 may have increased my likelihood for complications.

Dr. Chaiet totally changed my life. I'm extremely happy with the results of my trach shave and forehead reconstruction, and I think he did a tremendous job technically and artistically.

Maybe as importantly as my actual result though, just being treated by Dr. Chaiet was almost the definition of gender affirming. I've had so many bad experiences with doctors just not getting what it's like to be trans, but I really feel like he understood me and can see his patients as who they really are.

In conclusion, Scott Chaiet is an artist, and you should work with him.
