He Ruined my Face! Worst Experience Ever

I had my facial fat melted after 2 Morpheus treatments. I traveled to Dr chestnut from Florida for a full face fat transfer. I sent pictures of me before the Morpheus.
Once arrived, I wanted to show Dr Chestnut my photos before the treatments to explain exactly what I wanted to achieve. he did not give me the time. I did not even have a pre op appointment. He did not care at all!
I was rushed into surgery without him knowing what I wanted. He pumped my face with a lot of fat without shapes at all. I told him I came to see him because of this great work on the eyes. He did not touch my eyes or under eyes but filler up my cheeks with an anormous amount of fat. I called to ask to talk to him but I was told it was not time for follow up. I have huge facial asymetry and my face shape is not even the same. I clearly do not recommend this doctor. He do not care at all even if he pretend to! I don’t even know if my face can be ever fixed from that.

So I am updating my review.
My face and facial asymetry is getting worst… I am at 2 months and half and my face is still enormous with a weird shape.
The surgeon asked me to take my review down but I won’t because I want everybody to be aware of the damages that can happen when you choose the surgeon and I will spread the word and my face on every platform possible. A face like that is not normal and I should never happen!

I am experiencing the same issue, plus other problems with the procedures I had with another surgeon. I am at 4 months. The fat grafting has really distorted my face. I had a lower blepharoplasty with fat repositioning and fat grafting to my upper and lower lids. I had a couple other procedures done as well. I am extremely unhappy and will wait my full healing period but nothing is going to change in the next two months. . I used a top surgeon from Beverly Hills, still got devastating results.

I am so sorry about that! And you know what Is horrible? Is that surgeon tells me everything is ok and I look good! Who is he kidding? Is he blind???

I have been living with over injected fat transfer to my face. I look like I have a cyst under the corner of my lips, cheeks are over injected. I have spent so much money trying to fix. The doctors say that there is nothing they can do to remove the fat.

It is quite sad and I quite understand what you are going through but I believe that no surgeon can fix laxity of upper eye lids ( in your after pic you see dual folds of eye skin) with fat transfer alone . Also; I have seen mixed results with under eye fat transfer sometimes leading to gritty deposits that need to be removed surgically . The expectations of the outcome should be realistic and I believe that more people need to realize that these interventions come with a set of complications . Also; surgeons should explain patients about realistic expectations prior to doing procedures ; allowing them time to digest and process the information - making sure patients and provider are on same page .

I am having a hard time as well. I used a different surgeon. I do not believe these surgeons explain enough of the procedures to their patients. I believe the surgeons keep it vague so the patient doesn’t get spooked and not go ahead with surgery. My surgeon totally ruined my lower lids. He usually has patients flying to him to fix their lower lid issues from botched surgeries and he actually did that to me. I am extremely upset. He is not standing behind his work which makes it even worse.

Here are some pictures for people to see what happened on my face after the fat grafting! Not even one area was done well. Hollow under eyes, weird cheeks, big chin and he put tones of fat on the jowls. I can not even see my jawline!

It looks fine when you post a normal face without pulling exaggerated expressions, are you planning to undergo more procedures for your face to fix this ?

You don’t see the lumps? Bc I can definitely feel them! I have muscles pains but also lost of sensitivity on my face. Take a look at the video so you will understand better. Even though it’s even very visible on a 2D, you will see on the 3D video

I just read your long post and find it not very helpful to her at all. I have spoken personally to the person who wrote this review and she is a very strong individual. Do not recommend someone to speak to a therapist if you do not know the person and anything about them. Good intentions or not, it is not helpful and your post could come off condescending. Bottom line Dr. Chestnut and all these top Social Media surgeons once they have your money and the procedure is done, you are out of luck if something goes wrong. They are too worried about their Instagram posts than taking responsibility and accountability to their patients. Bottom line they are at fault. Personally I don’t think fat grafting should even be allowed, it causes more harm than good.

Or better don’t get fat transfer: use renuva, radiesse. The choices are there. My face is ruined. I’m spending tons on consults. Tons. I’m even considering going to Europe where they melt your fat with a hair thin probe inside your skin then extract it.

Fortunately fat graft doesn't last long. Our body will absorb the fat and depends on each individual, mine lasts 5-6 months. Once the surgeon (not this one) injected too little and it only lasted for 2 months. Overall I only choose fat graft filler because the result is more natural. It needs skilled surgeon to perform beautiful natural looking younger face with fat graft injections.

Happy to hear you had successful FT! It sounds like your doctor went conservative to see how your body responded and if it would have the results you were requesting. Would you mind sharing some information? How much fat was transferred to your face and what areas? From much of the literature, fat transferred to forehead, midface and lower face has the greatest chance of remaining, although it varies according to where it was harvested from, genetics, depth of transfer, etc. What was the cost to you? It would be very expensive to get it every 5-6 months at the price some doctors are charging. In fact, one major reason that people are persuaded to have FT instead of shorter-term fillers is lifetime savings and avoiding frequent injury to the skin. What is the name of your doctor. It would be helpful to a lot of people to know the name of a doctor that did careful transfer.

Well, fat graft can be permanent as well. Yours probably did not last because of genetic factors and poor technique! My face is still gigantic after 8 months of my fat graft

I am sorry that my review displeased you. I am sharing my story here because it is a place to share it. I did not lie about the fact that I was only a month and half post op! And not about the fact that I did not have any follow up appointment.
Yes, I was in very distress state when I came to you but you know what happened to me. I really did felt rush during the appointment before the surgery. I did not have any preop but I did have a consultation with you that I paid $500 and a phone consultation before surgery.
After leaving the OR, when asked about any follow up, you simply responded that it will be by FaceTime since I am not from the same state. I saw you after the surgery and the day after only because I had concerns and asked to come and see you.
When I asked why I had “panda eyes” ( hollow eyes) that I did not have before ( and I showed you before pics, you did not give me any explanation and simply raise your shoulders… this is concerning from me.
I wish I had more time to speak with you before the surgery because 10 min is not enough before a procedure. We probably do not have the same definition of “long appointment”…for me, 5 or 10 minutes is not enough when it comes to a feature such as a face…
Also, I did not have daily follow up with your staff at all. I came for the hyperbaric chamber at the clinic the day after and on Monday ( procedure was on Thursday) but I did not have follow up with you staff until 3 weeks post op when I asked about the huge size of my face.
I am not here to make any bad publicity at all. You are a gifted surgeon as I told you and this is why I came to you. However, I Simply want to share my experience. As you know, the Morpheus “drama” had been terrible for me. And I did not expect to have a face that huge after the surgery and even now. I am gonna take your recommendation and wait until my follow up appointment and see how it goes.
I simply wish I had more time to speak with you before the procedure so we could have been on the same page. I traveled 10 hours to come to you, took 2
Planes, book an apartment and gave you my life savings to fix what happened to me. I think giving me more time pre op to explain what I was expecting is not that much to ask…I understand I was stressed and you did not like the vibe but you are also a doctor and it’s also your job to show compassion towards your patient especially when they have been so transparent about their problem.
