Still not to my satisfaction, and worse yet, he went back on his word.

I had fat transferred to both my lower face and mid face. Thus far, about 60 % of the fat has remained, so I have noticed a difference, to be fair. My problem is I feel that Dr. Bednar was ultra-conservative to the point where he did not correctly finish the job. Moreover he stated that he would be adding more to my left cheek to achieve symmetry. Yesterday, he called me in for an appointment to take scans, so he would know exactly the amount to place in the left cheek (or so I assumed.) When I arrived, he took the scan and informed me that he would not place anymore fat in my left cheek to achieve perfect symmetry for a few millimeters (which, to me is significant for cheek projection.) He then told me I couldn't go "chasing perfection." That was it. I left in complete shock. My husband is upset and feels as though Dr. Bednar was being dismissive and lacks some professional character in stating that he would do something and then backing out a week prior to the procedure. One must be truly cautious in this cosmetic surgery market. As my husband explained, if we wish to pay thousands of dollars to someone for a service, the professional should achieve the desire results. Save your money and go somewhere else other than Dr. Bednar. I lost a lot of respect for him yesterday, when he tried to tell me this looks just fine (including the dark hollow under my tear troughs, when another PS surgeon informed me that fat transfer under tear troughs is a successful procedure.) Nothing quite like being patronized. I am disappointed. Find a true professional, not someone who promises to fix and then dismisses you.

Facial Fat Grafting to Cheeks, Tear Troughs, and Temples.
I am scheduled for May 8th. I retained approximately 40 % of my initial surgery, as I have some softening of the nasolabial folds, etc. I may see how the fat grafting to my cheeks affects the folds. A multitude of articles I have perused included statements affirming that facial fat grafting survives well in the cheeks.

Thanks, and no, it didn't. He was supposed to do a revision on June 5th to correct underfilling. Yesterday, he simply dismissed the appointment and refused to address the issue. I spent yesterday evening in tears.
I’m so sorry to hear that Ikersgirl. To feel dismissed must have been very disappointing for you. The doctor sounds very unprofessional.

Dr. Bednar and his staff provide services with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. I will be receiving fat grafting to my cheeks, tear troughs, and temples in approximately one month, so I will keep everyone posted!

I am afraid to report that the professionalism simply wasn't present yesterday at my consultation, and he canceled my June 5th appointment to address adding some fat to my left cheek. Buyer beware: these doctors who offer cosmetic/plastic surgery services are NOT always fair business people.
