How a Fat Graft Restored My Confidence: My Journey with Dr. Phillip Young

had a fat graft to my lips done by Dr. Phillip Young on June 16, 2026, and I couldn't be happier with my decision.
I was honestly very nervous going into it because a fat graft is intended to be permanent. Before this, I had lip filler for a few years and when I decided to have it completely dissolved, I noticed something I never had before—smoker's lines whenever I puckered my lips. In my opinion, the dissolver removed some of my natural hyaluronic acid , because my lips looked noticeably depleted within just a couple of days and never fully recovered, even after more than two years.
I flew to Seattle because I already trusted Dr. Young. He had previously performed CO? laser resurfacing on me with beautiful results, so I knew I was in good hands.
Recovery is definitely a process, and it's important to have realistic expectations. The first two weeks are the hardest. Swelling is significant, and honestly, I recommend wearing a mask and resisting the urge to analyze your face every day. Once you get through those first couple of weeks, everything becomes much easier, and you'll start seeing the results come together.
Dr. Young is not only an incredibly skilled surgeon but also kind, humble, and genuinely caring. He has an exceptional eye for facial aesthetics and takes the time to answer every question, making himself available throughout the recovery process. His staff is equally wonderful—warm, supportive, and truly invested in their patients.
I'm thrilled with my results. My lips are fuller but still look natural, my smoker's lines are gone, and my face looks softer and more feminine. I feel more confident, more youthful, and more like myself.
These are my results after 7 weeks but I became more presentable about 4 weeks in.
