Facial Fat Transfer to Correct Hyaluronidase Damage

WORTH IT
I had damage caused to my face from dissolving dermal filler. Too much Hyaluronidase was used and it dissolved the natural tissue on my cheekbone, lower cheek and under eye area. It was an awful experience and I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy. I waited over one year and it never came back, so I decided to do something about it.
After a lot of research, I decided that fat transfer was my best option. I met with a few different surgeons from the UK and I had several skype conversations with surgeons in America. After some deliberation, I finally decided to go with Tunc Tiryaki. He is based in both London and Istanbul and specialises in stem cell fat transfer. I was intrigued by the idea of more concentrated stem cells, but the main reason I chose him was down his before and after photos. The results were all very natural looking and he seemed to have had a lot of experience in reconstruction cases. It is now almost 7 weeks since I had the procedure. Unfortunately, sometimes the fat reabsorbs more than can be predicted. This happened to me on my damaged cheek. It started to occur at 3 weeks post surgery. I contacted my doctor and set up a review meeting in London. Immediately after examining me, he acknowledged the areas that needed to be topped up and offered to do a second transfer after a waiting period of 3 months from the initial surgery. It was such a relief to hear him say he would fix it for me. I cannot recommend this doctor enough for his professionalism. I am now really looking forward to having the this second procedure carried out. I will update in due course and post photos.

The reason I am not sure if it was worth it is because I still need a second procedure. Hopefully it will be worth it in the end.
I had two previous fat transfers that did not last as well so I know the feeling of disappointment when you see it all just go away. Hopefully this next one works out better for you and stays. Please keep us up to date.
Yes, it is disappointing. I only need a top up in a few of places, but I believe it will a substantial difference when it is corrected. I will keep you updated.
Hi Rob, I have had same procedure 3 weeks ago and been told that I might have to go again, once or even twice. Looks ok now but still weeks to go. Have you got any photos of yourself? When you gonna have second procedure? I hope it goes well for you, it must be very frustrating to go through it. Can you please let me know how you got on and how your second procedure went?
Hi, Yes, I have photos and I intend to post them before and after I've had the operation. The operation is booked in for the 25th of June. Hopefully it holds better this time. I just checked out your photos. It looks like you got a very good result :)
Hey rob..have you shown any improvement?
My skin had dramatic improvement in the last few weeks. I'm after having the top up procedure earlier today. All went well as far as I can see.
