Weight Loss Facelift and Filler at 1 Yr Post Op
Had surgery scheduled for lower facelift on 11/7/17 advised from the beginning I was allergic to iodine. Day prior advised once again ALLERGIC to iodine!
Arrived at Dr Marotta's office, was prep for surgery (husband and girlfriend took vaca time for after care) I was having eye surgery also (will post separate review)
Was put under for over 2hrs and they never ordered the alternate sterilzing solution.
They tried to find it somewhere else, but were unable to. Was woken up with no surgery preformed.
I should've run at that time.
Dr Marotta actual told me they were going to attempt to use iodine, but decided againt it.....WHAT?!
Fast forward- surgery rescheduled for 11/14/17. Sqeezed me into the surgical schedule - surgery at 2:00pm. Unbeknownst to me, They were also having an office holiday party..... Meet the Doctor!
Drains were so losely attached to the top of my head and dangling down so low, they kept swinging and hitting me in the face when i moved which was very painful.
My girlfriend ( caring for me post surgery) noticed when she spoke, I kept asking her what she said. She thought there was something wrong with my hearing. I told her, it feels like theres something in my ears!
Next day - drain removal, complained about hearing and I explained, I felt as though I had ear buds in. My girlfriend told them "she cant hear!" They said thats impossible but they would check. Sure enough they never removed the ear plugs.
After most of the swelling and bruising went down which took approx 2 months, I looked Good. Unfortunately, it was all downhill from there. My face and neck keep getting worse and worse. I was totally Asemetrical! When the wind blew i could feel my neck on the right side sway in the breeze. That is a really creepy feeling.
I had a jowl that ran all the way down my neck. When i complained to the doctor Marotta he said lets wait a year and see.
They tried to blame it on weight loss (4lbs)? When that was a no go.... Then genetics, my family has GREAT genetics. My aesthetician said i have great healthy skin.
One year appointment- Dr Marotta viewed me said i needed filler offered me 20% off and charged me $2400. at the 1 wk after check (bruised me) they took photos and wanted to use them on their website for facelift, which i refused. I just didnt feel that was fair and accurate marketing of his skills and Thats an aweful lot of filler, after paying $18k for a lower facelift. Marotta said he would redo the facelift in 3-5 year's. Why? Asked for a letter stating that, and was told absolutely. Needless to say the letter was never forthcoming. Dr Marotta finally agreed about 6 months ago, that the facelift wasn’t right and would do a mini lift, also ultherapy for another $5k. feeling uncomfortable about Dr Marotta, I went for second opinion. The first thing the new surgeon said was in order to correct, I needed a lower facelift! (I just had a facelift) The Dr for the second opinion (without any prompting) mentioned improving the horrible scar that was under my chin and not evenly centered (due to the Asemetrical facelift, the scar was far to left side and very thick) the total I paid Dr Marotta's was approximately $24,000 and now he wants more.....I no longer trusted him. Dr Marotta’s sutcher work was so poor, I cant even believe a board certified plastic surgeon actually closed the incisions....I even asked .....did WHO closed me? Also had pixie ears more pronounced on my left side. The asymmetry was at an angle - my left cheek was very loose and the lower right side jowl very loose and hanging. I continually felt I needed to exercise my left cheek muscle, it felt so different from right. I’ve recently had a lower facelift revision with another Plastic surgeon. I will post update when I’m further along in the healing process.
One more thing Dr Marotta assistant (Nicole) pushed to be paid cash, literal suitcase cash!
I assume the cash push is so you have no recourse against him??? BEWARE of any Plastic Surgeon That discounts and pushes for cash. I haven't encountered that aywhere else!
Will also post photos.
I feel Dr Marottaa was buying time, so i couldnt write a review.
I also truly believe Dr Marotta is a filler Botox man.

I will however say, Dr Marotta is very talented with regard to rhinoplasty and facial filler.
Dr Marotta, if you were halfway decent should offer me at LEAST some of my cash money back.
