Six Weeks On: Happy With My Experience So Far

I am six weeks post-op following an extended deep-plane facelift and neck lift with Dr Yilmaz, together with a lip lift, temporal/brow lift, upper and lower blepharoplasty, canthopexy, fat transfer, salivary gland reduction and CO2 laser to my face and neck.
I wanted to leave an early review because, although I am still very much in the healing process, my experience so far has been very positive.
The care I received in Turkey was excellent. The hospital staff were attentive, the clinic coordinated everything extremely well, and I had five hyperbaric treatments and seven lymphatic massages during my stay. Since returning home, the clinic has continued to follow up with me regularly, particularly during the first four weeks, and they have always responded promptly whenever I have had questions.
My recovery has been straightforward with no complications. I have experienced the swelling, tightness and numbness that I expected, and some areas have taken longer to settle than others. My lip lift has probably been the slowest part of my recovery visually; I still have some swelling which has affected my speech and eating slightly. However, when I compare it with my pre-operative photographs, I am very happy that I had it done and I would not change that decision.
At six weeks, I am very conscious that this is nowhere near the final result. My face is still changing and settling, and I am allowing myself plenty of time and patience for the swelling to resolve and the tissues to soften.
I have been particularly impressed by the aftercare and communication from Dr Yilmaz and the clinic. I have also received helpful dermatology advice from Dr Tu?çe Ertürk Y?lmaz regarding my skincare following the CO? treatment.
So, this is an interim review rather than a review of my final surgical result. I am very happy with my experience and with how my recovery is progressing so far, and I look forward to seeing how everything develops over the coming months.
