4 weeks post facelift, 2 weeks post brow lift revision

I am now 4 Weeks post facelift and 2 weeks post Browlift revision. The facelift: The scars are healing well. I use "Scar away" the bandage style and just cut them into strips. The scar on my chin is the worst but the "scar away" bandage keeps falling off. I am now using the "scar away" roller for the chin scar and my brow lift scars. I will eventually rotate in "retin A". Lastly, in about 6 months I will do the IPL laser which seems to eliminate scars for me. My ears look weird. The inside of my ear is square and I am hoping that will go back to normal. If not, I will not care enough to fix it. My earlobes however have a line down the middle and one earlobe seems to have been sewed up like that. I do have a huge patch of hard, numb skin/muscle on both sides of my face (by my ears) so the earlobes may relax when that area returns to normal. At worst, I can get filler to fill out the lines. The neck area and under my chin/jaw is bruised and sore. It also is hard and numb in most of the area. I really hope my lower face slims out more. I am told it is swelling but of course I am a worrier so trusting the process is hard. My brow lift revision is still a roller coaster. In person they look different than in pictures. I do have an old phone so... Anyways the left eyebrow is lower than my right. Which is how they normally are in American women (because of the sun while driving) but I don't think my doctor expected that result. I am worried it is dropping. OHHH they never tell you this but evidently it is normal to get an air bubble in your scalp!!!! This is so messed up. I was feeling around my scalp because only part of it is numb away from the scars. I realized it was a bubble and immediately looked it up. The plastic surgeons said this is common. SO is it in any of my post surgery recovery paperwork? NOPE. I see my doctor in a couple of days and I hope he is going to do something to speed up the reabsorption. (I did call his office and they confirmed it is normal and should go away on its own). This morning I woke up and the left eyebrow is painful and sore at the endotine spot and my left eyebrow seems lower. I called the office and they moved up my appointment. I just think the endotine brow lift is a subpar procedure. My doctor assured me this was the best option but the other doctors on here seem to disagree. If I had to do it over, I would do the coronal lift. These endotines are annoying and I have been in recovery from these stupid things longer than if I would have had the coronal. I also, commented before that I feel the doctors in my area are not doing the full facial improvement like the doctors in California and new york/new jersey. These are the norm in those areas (and were NEVER even mentioned to me at any of the doctors I interviewed before choosing a doctor in my area): lip lift, cheek implants, fat filler, liposuction in face, fat pad removal in lower cheeks, fat pad removal/relocation in lower eye area. I guess that is why my brow lift/face lift were less than $20,000 and the other doctors charge $60-75,000. lol! The thing is, I spend a lot of time looking at the before and afters. There are a lot, that even though the patients look younger, they don't look more attractive. Personally, I would feel it was a waste of money. I am going to tell people I had a facelift so it might as well be obvious because I look so much better. The whole "You look rested" or "did you lose weight" is for the birds. I want "Dang! you look amazing! what did you have done?" Evidently that is not in middle America. The middle America doctors need to talk to Christie Brinkley's doctors and Kylie Jenners doctors because those are the transformations my friends want. lol SHOW LESS

Facelift (Vertical), Endoscopic Brow Lift

First and foremost, ALWAYS get in writing EXACTLY what your doctor is going to do. Ask what type of facelift because Deep Plane, mini lift and the smas are all different and you need to know which one you are getting. Also you need to know if the doctor is doing anything additionally. I asked my Doctor several times if he was going to reduce the fullness in my lower cheek area and he said yes. I am not seeing that at all. So at this point my skin looks better but I look like I have a fat face. My husband and daughter hate it. They are not being vocal about it at all and won't talk to me about it or let me show them other people's results. This is actually the hardest part of the whole experience. My best friend died and so I really have no one to talk to about this. I am almost 3 weeks in so I am hoping the swelling will go away and I will look better but their lack of emotional support is probably something I will have a really hard time getting over in the future. My daughter who is in her early teens is now pointing out how I used to look like her and how she thinks her cheeks are really big. So now I feel like a bad example for self esteem and that is so aggravating. Why can't I do anything without it being internalized by her? I already am conscious of not saying I am fat or critiquing the appearances of others but seriously, it just means I have to be super perfect all the tricking time. So right now, you guys are my only support and group for honest opinions and feedback. So I had the facelift on August 4. I also had a Endoscoptic brow lift with endotines implanted. The brow lift failed. My eyebrows went back to normal and my PS had me go in for a brow lift revision 2 weeks after August 4. This time it was with local anesthesia (the first was general anesthesia and a very long procedure) and the old endotines were replaced with larger ones. I had to wear a head wrap for 3 days and today I removed the head wrap. The eyebrows are ok. The left is lower than the right which is how most eyebrows are in real life. But I don't know if that will change when the swelling goes away. I really wish there was a definite day of "this is what your final result is". Really you will spend every day guessing if this is the final look or will this bump go away. What really annoys me is that the plastic surgeon's of the star's Instagram make it seem like his patients look perfect one week after surgery. Look up Andrew Jacono's instagram page. It has to be complete BS. Right? The other annoying point is all of his patients look gorgeous. My PS's patients all seem like regular people and a lot of time I am thinking "what is the point?" They still look average at best. And then there are the ones who have no idea how their eyebrows and lips are actually supposed to look. I can not take advice from someone who has tiny half moon eyebrows. We are just wanting two completely different aesthetics. I will update with photos later. I am just so depressed.
