My Facelift Step by Step
Karma4RealOctober 24, 2018
WORTH IT$10,000
I still can’t believe I actually did this. It seems I drastic but at 58 I was definitely showing the signs of getting old on my lower face. My issue was slightly jowls and some nasty under the chin saggy skin that was only going to get worse. It’s the first thing I saw in every picture, so I didn’t take many. One if the reasons I did this was so I wouldn’t shy away from pics with my daughters (One of them commented that when I’m gone she won’t have pics of me).
I tried Ulthera twice and liked it but the results were subtle, it was very painful and expensive. I decided it would be cheaper and work better to get a facelift once rather than Ulthera every year. The key was finding the right doctor because looking old is better than a bad and obvious facelift.
My decision was rather sudden. I went in about my eyelids and came out with a scheduled eyelid surgery the next week and facelift scheduled for 2 months later. I can be impulsive so no shock there. I was afraid to do it, facelifts seem so drastic, but I trusted this doctor. He did my daughter breast reduction with practically zero scars.
Even with a good surgeon I almost cancelled several times because it seems so extreme. What if it goes very bad? Yikes! I literally wanted to cancel the day of but already paid and didn’t want to lose my money. Happy I went through with it though. It looks amazingly good at two weeks (when first posting this) and I anticipate it only getting better.
My husband (of 32 years) can’t stop smiling. He keeps saying “you look so good and young”. He’s even being extra nice and attentive. Love that. Because I have 4 daughters (oldest is 40) and I still want to look like their mom, my husband and I keep joking “damn that doctors magic hands for making me look so amazing”. lol (Dr. Reynolds is extremely skilled and conscientious.)
I’m starting this review a little more than 2 weeks post op but I have pictures from the beginning and will update as time goes by.

On my way to surgery.

First stop was the doctor office so they cold braid my hair and keep it out of the way then off to the surgery center. Still thinking “I can back out” but I’m gonna do it. Full steam ahead. These two pics were taken from a normal angle. The first pics I posted were taken from a low vantage point so you could see my issues a little clearer.

Yikes!
Karma4RealOctober 24, 2018
Morning after surgery. It was a tough night. I fell asleep easily but in the middle of the night after meds wore off everything hurt, even my teeth. After this I stayed on top of pain meds because I know you heal quicker when you aren’t in pain.
