Consultation Review: Overpriced & One-size-fits All

ORIGINAL POST

Overpriced & One-size-fits All

I'm in my early forties and am often taken for 10 years younger, but I'm a perfectionist and started to notice a little bit of sagging in my midface. I don't have any jowls or neck issues. After a lot of research, I decided a mini-facelift might be right for me. I found Dr. Jacono online because his images are the ones that pop up the most in a google search of mini-facelift. After looking at some photos of mine in that I submitted to his office last year, I was sent the estimated cost (which would include a neck lift and lip lift as well, though I don't see those as problem areas at all) . . . and (drumroll) it was upwards of $70,000. That's shockingly high given I needed so little improvement. After doing a bit more research, I discovered via his IG page and elsewhere that he is a big promoter of the deep plane facelift. But ladies, please do your research: there are several peer-reviewed studies that show this kind of facelift (over a SMAS) only gives better results for women over 70, and that the SMAS actually creates more aesthetically pleasing results in younger women. He also seems like the kind of plastic surgeon who recommends the same combination of procedures to everyone (adds on lip lifts & neck lifts & brow lifts regularly), so if you want to have the trending Kylie Jenner look maybe he'd be right for you. I ended up finding another highly regarded Madison Avenue surgeon who did my mini-facelift for the more reasonable price of $15,000, and it turned out amazing, fixed everything I was concerned with. I look 15 years younger. I just thought you should know you don't need to break the bank and that his prices are really set for celebrity clients.

Hi! I'm glad you got the results you wanted :) Who was your surgeon?
Hey who did you go to for Mini facelift ? Dr Konstantin Vasyukevich?
So glad I found your post, who did you end up using for your mini facelift? Thanks so much!
I dealt with their office via phone and got a very high quote (unseen)... it seems they only appeal to people who are looking to waste money, the uber wealthy who are scared of paying too little for such an important procedure. But many doctors do the same caliber of work for a fraction of the cost. Have you seen how many one star reviews he has? Many!!! Someone who charges that much shouldn't have ANY one stars reviews. My heart broke when I read one review recently. Thank you for posting this. It supports my feelings about his practice. If I ever have a mini...I'll go elsewhere.
You are vile!
So your review is not of a procedure that he did but a quote you didn't like?
It's of her appointment and consultation experience for which she paid 500$ for and has a full right to review.
Now $750...
Whaaaaat? :O Are you kidding us?
