Negative Experience

I would like to share my experience so that it may benefit others seeking a facelift with Oakville Plastic Surgery. It has been over 3 years and I am still trying to fix the mistakes that were made on my face, not to mention the additional costs associated in doing so, which have now over tripled in amount that I paid for the original procedure. These included numerous lasers, threads, topicals, at home devices, etc.

When I first met Dr. deKleer I had gone in because I had some jowling and laxening of the neck. I told her that my expectations were realistic and I didn't want to look like someone else, just myself a few years younger. She recommended a neck lift, a lower face lift and also my lower eyes. Although there was nothing wrong with my eyes, she explained that the skin she pulled up had to go somewhere, so I agreed based on her expertise. Since I had never dealt with her before, I wanted confirmation that should things not go exactly to plan, could I count on her to be there for me and to ensure that if adjustments needed to be made, they would in order to achieve the desired results, which she did. Although I had concerns following the surgery , I was told to wait a year for things to settle - which I did. At my one year consult, I communicated my disappointment with respect to the things that were either not previously there, were no better or were worse. Her comment was that she did the best she could and there was nothing else she could do. She recommended that I use TAPE to fix the problems. It was then that I realized I was on my own and would have to take on this journey of trying to correct the procedure myself. After consulting with 4 other reputable plastic surgeons, (3 who provided quotes for revisions which only confirmed corrections needed to be made), I was told to first go back to her and give her the opportunity to fix my face. I now had one eye that had a drooping lower lid (again never wanted my eyes done in the first place), my neck was still lax, my jowls still required some tightening and I now had festoons/bags on the upper cheek area, which needed to be addressed. So I went from my original two concerns to four. When I went back and discussed what one surgeon had recommended she do in order to get a better result, her comment was "THEN HAVE HIM DO IT". This response was completely lacking in any concern for myself - her patient, or for being accountable for her work. This experience has not only left me financially drained, but also emotionally distraught. It has caused endless sleepless nights, not to mention the daily struggle and disappointment I face everytime I look in the mirror.
