Lower Facelift and Neck Lift

WORTH IT
I am 57 years old and I recently had a lower facelift and neck lift with Dr. Tholen with Minneapolis Plastic surgery. It has been a great experience from the consultation all the way through the surgery. Dr.Tholen and his staff are great. They did a great job explaining everything about the surgery and what to expect. I have had many surgeries with Dr. Tholen and this was by far the easiest as far as healing goes. The healing wasn't bad at all. I did get an infection behind one ear, Dr Tholen called in an antibiotic and it cleared it up quickly. The results are getting better as more time goes on. I am very happy that I did this and I would recommend Dr. Tholen and his staff as they are great and do excellent work.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review, and for your kind comments. Sometimes dissolving sutures can become contaminated by skin (or external) bacteria and can develop a localized stitch abscess. These resolve on their own by simple cleansing and topical antibiotic ointment, but I usually prescribe an additional oral antibiotic if it looks like it will help the healing process and reduce scarring. The key in making facelift scars as imperceptible as possible is their placement, since all incisions cause scars in all patients. "Hiding" scars behind the tragus, for example, causes distortion and flattening of the tragus, and show the ear canal as well, so that really doesn't "hide" the scar much as all, and normal anatomy is distorted badly, visible across a room! Anyway, TMI for some, but thanks for the opportunity to educate others who might read your great review. Cheers! Dr. Tholen
