5 days til all stitches out

WORTH IT
10 days since surgery and I finally joojed my hair - I seriously think the ansesthesia affected my hair as it's very flat instead of very curly -- cut and color scheduled 5 weeks from surgery.
Thought I'd put on lipstick to see how I will look once I'm out and about. IMO not too shabby but not too smiley yet -- once I get all stitches out. :)

Day 8

KALIGRRL
Half my sutures out today, the rest out in a week. Dr and nurses amazed at how minimal my bruising was.

Still must keep head and neck level, no whipping my head and neck from side to side or up and down. I'm sleeping in a recliner with an airline pillow turned around under my chin -- one more week!

Ladies, AFTER CARE IS EVERYTHING! Nurses said some women ruin their lift in two weeks because they are moving head and neck too much and they start sagging again.

One week today - some sutures out tomorrow

KALIGRRL
How I look one week later. Don't judge the hair! Haven't been going out so haven't been washing it daily. Besides which, my skin is pulled back so my hair is literally sewn back off my face. Finally not too tight to smile today.
I am amazed every day how minimal my bruising was but I attribute that to being in good shape, not smoking, and good immune system. Even dr was surprised at how "clean" my incisions healed.
FYI, I never had the "choking" feeling around my neck like women write about. Maybe because my dr is double board certified in both plastic surgery AND neck and face surgery (ENT) so he knows his stuff.
Can't wait to get some of these sutures out tomorrow!
FYI, ladies, my dr's daughter works with him and she has done triple residencies, studied at Stanford. I believe her niche is breasts. So if you're looking for that....
