I had a neck and lower facelift 12/29/23. I had several issues and complications post procedure including left ear hematoma, right facial paralysis, left ear wound infection which eventually cultured positive for pseudomonas. Pseudomonas made me quite ill and I feel fortunate I didn’t develop full blown sepsis. In addition, I had bilateral foot neuropathy and the beginning of pressure ulcers from wearing tennis shoes in the OR while under anesthesia. The paralysis lasted for 10 weeks but did thankfully resolve. I still have a lot of facial numbness but I can live with that. Dr Schmidt seems like a nice individual and he didn’t drop me post complications as some doctors do. This isn’t a personal rebuke. I write this review, as I relied heavily on other reviews before I chose this practice. I just want others to know my experience and then they can decide on their own. I felt like I needed to tell the truth about my experience. This procedure is NOT without potential complications.
