Dear all,
First of all i am still recovering from this big operation that include eyebrow lift, upper eyelid, upper liplift, face/ neck lift, fat gtafting.
I like to get advice for healing time??
My problem is that on side of face where skin is been cut away to tighten cheeks is thick layer of skin swallen and it’s like death area no feeling and skin is hard.
I like to hear advice what can soften skin and get swelling away?
I use that Arnica cream and tablets 15mg.

I would touch base with your surgeon asap to alleviate your concerns, but it all sounds perfectly normal to me. Like you, I had alot done at one time (lower face, neck, and brows) and it all feels super tight and numb for quite some time. I'm just a few days shy of 9 months out and I am just starting to get the all feeling back below the jawline. I kept all the incisions hydrated liberally with Aquaphor which felt great and all my incisions are amazingly invisible. Good luck!

I agree with OhioScott. I had a similar procedure ten years ago and during the first few months I was afraid I'd be numb and swollen for months. The Arnica is good and so is Bromelain (taken by mouth.) I am probably the most impatient person on the planet and I did get discouraged but honestly, my results were well worth the wait. Don't be surprised if some healing (loss of sensation) takes a year to fully recover.

After looking at your progress pictures, I have to say that you look amazing! You have virtually NO bruising! It's probably because you've been so good with the Arnica. The swelling and lack of sensation do take a while so don't be discouraged; it hasn't even been a month yet. I bet it will be no time at all when you'll look back and realize how remarkably you healed. Thanks for sharing your pictures; it's really helpful for those who don't know what to expect.

Yes all of the comments here said same thing... time. But of course it is hard to wait and be uncertain if the everything will be ok. But now after 8-weeks its huge different. Face start to get shape and swollen less and yes i am happy and at least 10 years younger.
I been in touch with Dr. Hasan and he is so positive and suportive that i feel his postive energy is been help me a lot. But after all I must say all is worth but not easy operation and healing time at all. I think later 2-4 months more I can say yes it was hard but its done and it will last at least 10- years. ALSO I found out that face massage is really important and really it helps a lot to keep face/skin young. I been doing face massage at least 1- time a day. In youtube is very good massage videos and those help a lot.

I am nearly 10 weeks post. The thick skin and numbness is normal. I am just starting to get feeling back. 16 days out is very early in the healing process. This is a 6 month process, j u st be patient.

3,5 weeks post operation
Face is stoll swallen and now jaw sack area it is getting bigger again looks like some liquid is on that area. I still use face support mask as my doctor recommed to keep it 24hr. Upper lip area is tight difficult to smile so acctually i can’t smile at all as all face skin on side and cheeks are tight and not move normaly.. Eyes are on drops and wounds i just kind of silicon cream but still wounds are not healed so well, Seem that it take time to heal wounds. Any good advice - product to wounds?

I saw more improvment after 8-weeks and after that i was using Bromelain and all vitamins 2-weeks time.
Now face start to give shape and I start to think that all pain and frustration is been worth. Like many of you say this big operation needs time but as we all know that in the first 4-weeks it is hard time to believe
to result. In my case time period was 8-weeks when swollen and face shape start to show up.
See the pictures before and after. I start to do sport as well so body start to function better and it effect to face as well. I am not young so to get face look -10 years it is already good change. Mostly now I understand that when doctors and people in clinic talk that 4-weeks you should look ok so that is not correct is more like 8-weeks. But any way I am still waiting 1-2 months so hopping to get more elastic skin as in cheek surgery scars are still hard and the skin is stiff.

wow..you look awesome!! Look at that jaw:))) How did you select this particular doc in Turkey? Where was the fat grafting? Do you have incisions horizontally on your scalp in your hair line by chance?

Thank you. I did my search 3-months in Istanbul and why there because I did my hair transplant there 1-year ago and it was great and successful so same time I went see other clinics to understand more about facial surgery.
Istanbul is one of the biggest medical travel city in the world. Yes there is a lot doctors and clinics. I was in touch about 20 of them and at the end I choose 5 to go to consultation and choose finally the place. I organized all in advance and I did these consultations in 3-days.
It was worth to do that to see difference and feel safe when choosing the doctor and operation place.
I choose this doctor because it is not a clinic. Doctor operate and it is employed in one of the best state of art hospital in Istanbul and that has lot meaning. Hospital is JCI accredited that is international standard of patience safety.

Fat grafting is taken from my abdominal area and he did same time small liposection that will later help also reduce a bit fat from that area.
Incisions are hidden that require lot of skills. Incisions start from inside of ear and goes behind of ear and one line in vertical up to hear line from ear not horizontally. That way lifting skin up from cheeks stays well. Now after 9-weeks surgical wounds start to heal well and after all those will be invisible.
Also one more thing. Price: when I went to visit all of those 5-clinics and meet the doctors to get offers so believe me price difference it is so huge. from 7000- 23.000€.

did you interview Dr. Eran Karacaoglu and if so what was your opinion please..he quoted around what you quoted
